I went this morning with my partner and 4 months old daughter for breakfast. It was really hot inside but not overly crowded.

We ordered breakfast and I opted for a large breakfast. When it arrived they had only made me a regular. Mistakes happen, I get it. I was hungry so had made a point of going for a large. I told staff member Karen and she was good about it and sent it back so I could get the large. By the time it returned my partner was finished. From where we sat I could see the kitchen staff chucking some extra toast on top. When I saw the plate I immediately realised that it was not fresh and they had added the missing bits to my old order. Funnily enough everything else on the plate was now stone cold. It would have been a while before they made a new fresh (hot) breakfast so I was understandably annoyed and so asked for a refund. Fair play to Karen, she was really good and apologetic about it and said it should have been made fresh. She had to get the manager to help with the refund but he looked as if he could not care any less, gave a bit of a shrug and left.

Poor food prep, poor management and left very annoyed at the experience. (This does not include Karen, who was helpful and did seem...

I don't understand how a simple meal can be so incredibly different in standard in different pubs in the same chain..I believe that Wetherspoons offers very good value for money, and visit branches in my home town Deal, plus neighbouring Canterbury, Whitstable and Folkestone. I always order chicken Caesar salad..in the past it has always been an excellent dish..good balance of lettuce, parmesan, grilled breast ofchicken chunks and dressing..good value. Suddenly in the last fortnight, something has gone very wrong in Deal..what you now get there, as opposed to Canterbury, are 8 or nine postage stamp size pieces of wafer thin fridge cold chicken..tasteless and weighing around 2 ounces at most..come on, Deal, that dish costs over £6..I don't expect for that to receive a large bowl of lettuce and some tasteless scraps of chicken..my husband ordered chicken curry, for around the same price as mine he got a large bowl of chicken curry at least 6 chunks of good sized chicken pieces, rice , nan...

So, we had a decent meal and took 2 beers, all good. We ordered a second beer, Punk IPA on draught. They brought us an undrinkable beer, possibly something wrong with the draught itself or maybe with our glasses. I can guarantee, undrinkable (and we drink Punk IPA a lot, we know the beer very well). When told the "kind" lady, she apologises and offers to take us something else. So, to minimise the problems, I take a basic Ale (price lower that the original IPA), my husband takes another beer, same price. We thought, it doesn't matter, it can happen. Tha manager came to our table and asked us to pay the second beer as apparently nothing wrong with the first one 😱😱😱. Of course we didn't pay. The question is, how long have you been doing this job? When a customer says a beer is disgusting, please listen to the client instead of acting histerical. You are probably too busy and underpaid, but that's not the client's fault. Cheers to...

We went to the Sir Norman Wisdom Weatherspoons restaurant for a meal out while staying down in the area for our daughter to attend an open day at Kent University, It is large inside with plenty of tables to sit and eat at, It was very busy on our visit on Friday evening, The food we ordered was very tasty and filled us up nicely. You can order your food from the table by the Weatherspoons app (which you download to your device), Also you can order your drinks too, (which we found on the Weatherspoons app and not on the menu, The entrance is wheelchair accessible and inside, they have a wheelchair lift as this restaurant is on 2 levels, (not floors), didn't use the toilets when we were there so can't comment on them, Would definitely eat here again if/when we are in the area again, Definitely recommend to try it out,

I saw a documentary on Norman Wisdom on TV which revealed Norman grew up in Deal.. I saw on Google there is a restaurant which is named in tribute to Sir Norman Wisdom. I surprised my wife with a visit to have a lovely early morning breakfast in Deal as we are great fans and wanted to experience the tribute to him. We really enjoyed the breakfast with refillable coffee or tea and very polite and helpful staff who helped operate the drinks machine. There is an outside eating area also. There is plenty of options on parking nearby. The town centre is nearby including the beach which is just a bit further away. A great experience to be repeated.

Bud light at £1.99 a pint is a bargain. Really busy here from 1200-1400. Lots of people coming in but no tables available. We got a table by the door & there was a constant flow of people. Really popular with families and the elderly folk. Kids were running around, screaming & dodging in and out of the tables. We even had passers by banging on the windows (children). Pretty classy place. Loved the Norman Wisdom references. Number 72. Won't be back though.
