Thought we would give this a try as the reviews looked very good. Either we got them on a bad night or something has gone seriously wrong in this restaurant. My husband and I went on Saturday evening and was really disappointed let’s start with the food.
Having been to Greece several times we were looking forward to good quality authentic food instead we got overcooked, tough dry meat. My husband asked for additional lamb chops to be added to our mezze platter OMG can only say they were nothing short of burnt.
Service- nothing to write home about was the basic standard nothing more.
Atmosphere- what atmosphere there was none we were the only diners staff were in and out the restaurant I couldn’t tell you how many times when one guy came in another went out the door was constantly being slammed shut. Some of the language being used to each other left a lot to be desired at one point one of the waitresses was shouting through to a colleague so loud I think it was the owner requested she kept it down a bit.paper napkins and table covers just gave the impression of a cheap cafe.
Price- if the food was better quality and the service and atmosphere was what it should have been then this would be a very well priced restaurant. All in all it was terrible and would...
Read moreWe discovered this wee restaurant by accident. We were meant to go to a Turkish restaurant that night but some muppet (me) booked a Greek restaurant instead. We were but disappointed.
Tucked up a wee street near Santander in Dunfermline is Attica. It's a restaurant that had clean line of sight through part of the restaurant to the kitchen. We sat in this section.
We had a mix of small plates to sample as many of the dishes as we could, whilst leaving room for dessert.
The service was great. The member of staff was happy to give recommendations based on our questions. The smells coming from the kitchen had us excited about dinner. We were not disappointed.
Go to this wee gem of a place. I don't think you will be disappointed.
The owners also have the Greek take away in Dunfermline (we passed it on our way to the parking).
The restaurant is accessible but please be aware to reach it you will have to either walk up or...
Read moreOur second visit today was , this time as family and was even more impressed with food lamb shank with rice and salald is absolutely out of this world , our son loved his fish aswell , seafood pasta is one of the best we ever had, Thank you to chef for making this diner so delicious, Btw yous need to try roasted feta cheese 🙄😪 Dont forget to order some side of bread with it , is was heaven in mouth , We will be back many times from now on. Felt harty and homely. There is nothing to complain about , prices are reflecting on quality and was 5 out 5 for us. Specifically that Dunfermline don't have good places to eat. This one is hidden Gem. Special thanks to young Greek (we think) boy who served us he was immaculate and well mannered. Which make us feel welcomed. Today He served us again and wow 👌 he literally goes 100 miles for you , young girl was lovely too btw but...
