Just Greek Food Dunfermline — Restaurant in Dunfermline

Ordered a chicken gyro, a sausage box, and a mixed meat box. Total was about £30. They then added on nearly £4 delivery and 10% tip which I couldn’t remove. This would have been acceptable, however… It was ordered at 1742, estimated delivery given of 1826. Fair enough, that matches what it says in their site. 1847 food still not here, over an hour after order, so I call, he confirms my postcode and he tells me “its 2 mins away”. I hang up, we’re 2.6 miles away so I decide to give him 10 mins. At 1858, I call again to be told by a different person that “it’s just left the shop” despite being told it was two mins away ten mins ago. I point this out and am told they apologise. It eventually arrives at 1912, a full 90 mins after order and twice as long as their estimated delivery time. We get the food. The gyro is ok, but the chips in both boxes were as hard as rocks and cold. The meat in the mixed meat box is stone cold, and there is one small flat bread cut into four. Also cold. I don’t mind paying £40 for decent food, but that wasn’t it. It was late, rather than be honest about the delivery, they tell me it’s on the way when it clearly wasn’t and going by the food it had clearly been sitting for ages. Don’t take orders if you can’t fulfill them, and at least be honest about what’s going on. I’m annoyed I’ve not got what I expected but I’ve also been forced to tip them for the privilege. Having ordered from here before, I’m really disappointed in this service. I deliberately ordered direct from their website so as to ensure a local business avoids the just east charges but I’d have been better doing it and comparing through them as I now wouldn’t be £40 out of pocket for a poor quality meal....

Amazing place and their food is really good quality. The staff are so nice and appreciate your business. I’m not a takeaway guy but I’ve been there for like a week solid trying different wrap combinations. Not once have I had a bad meal, something I disliked, or had something that was subpar or poorly cooked. It’s juicy good quality meat and their feta cheese is really good too. Don’t forget the Greek sausage. I tried it on a whim on a chicken souvlaki and it was really good. Spiced but not spicy, soft succulent and juicy meat. The same can be said for their kofte. Probably the best kofte you’ll have. And the souvaliki has that good grilled char to it and just tastes like barbecue. I highly recommend all of these things. Their portions are massive and they are well priced. What you get for the price is a bargain. Last thing if you’re apprehensive of Greek food or not sure what they are all about, don’t be. It’s just really better quality kebab place way above the rest, with food that fits well with your Scottish pallet and you have grilled choices too.

We first tried Greek Street food outside a shopping complex in outskirts of Glasgow and can't remember the name. The smell was just amazing and we thought to try it. I had chicken gyro and taste was phenomenal. The meat was soft, juicy and I was given the option to add sauces of choice. I was addicted after that. I didnt know there was a Greek takeaway in Dunfermline so when I found out there was, decided to try it. It was nothing like the ones we have in Glasgow. If you have never had proper Greek food you probably think this one is great. In comparison to other gyros, the meat was much drier, there was hardly any salad, there was tiniest amount of sauce on the wrap and nothing on the meat. The cashier didn't offer any sauces to put on extremely dry wrap. We didn't finish the wrap couse it was hard to chew. My husband said he would never go back there but I don't think it was bad or anything. It was just too dry and meat tough. I will give the place a second chance though because every business can have off days and maybe it was just a bad day for them. On plus side meat was tasty, wrap was fresh and chips were nice and staff...
