FOOD POISONING!!
We (family of 5 folks) ordered 4 meals to share. this consisted of 4 chicken dishes, 3 rices and 3 peshwari nans.
At the time, my wife thought the rice didnt taste right and my sister in law thought the whole meal was not good.
Roll on 24 hours and my wife and her sister started being violently sick with diarrhoea. Add to this we had to fly from Edinburgh back home to London that night. In the airport, my wife was still being sick then and on the plane I start with the sickness and diarrhoea. This must of been the worst trip / flight of my life and the same goes for the passengers around us! I was meant to drive back from Gatwick airport but had to be collected (currently my car is STILL at the airport!!)
The whole day yesterday was spent on the couch feeling so weak and with aching legs, back, head etc! We managed to keep down half a tin of soup and a bit of toast
We're now on our second day and still have sore head, neck, basically just feels like a bad flu!
So in total, 3 of us came down with the exact same symptoms and the only common food we shared was the pilau rice.
Make up your own mind on this but I will NEVER EVER eat at the...

Restaurant decor and ambiance was lovely. It's a well themed place and celebrates the rich history of Kushi's. Unfortunatly the eating experience did not meet the standard set by the decor. I ordered a chicken pathia, which to my dissapointment, was watery and bland. The portion of the curry was a dissapointment too and did not match the cost of the dish. The portion of pilau rice was quite small for the price too, but was nice. We ordered a garlic naan bread for the table. Again (a similar theme here), the portion was not as expected and there wasn't much flavour to the dish. The other curries our table had were ok, but we all agreed, they were not worth the price.
Service was good, but we were not atteneded to enough to justify the inclusion of a service charge on the bill.
I left feeling deflated after paying the bill. I didn't feel the cost reflected the eating experience at all. I wouldn't recommend eating here as there are other Fife based Indian restuarants I would go to first for better value, taste...
Read moreTravelling all the way from Australia to visit my Uncle in Dunfermline for Christmas required a special dinner to complete an already memorable trip to Scotland. When deciding on a restaurant my wife and I mentioned that we were long time lovers of Indian cuisine and without hesitation my Uncle suggested Khushi's. The atmosphere was vibrant when we arrived but an upstairs booth was a perfect spot for quieter conversation. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The menu was quite comprehensive with some unique variations of dishes that we had not encountered before. From the starters to the coffees Khushi's produced a meal of outstanding quality. My wife being vegetarian often finds her choices at many restaurants to be limited...this was not the case at Khushi's. Everything we ordered including the naan bread was delicious and no corkage being charged for our BYO bottles of wine was an added bonus. If you enjoy Indian food of the highest order you will...
