What's happened to Luigis? Had lunch with my friend today and the food was very poor. I had to send back the starter (never done that before) as it was so small and lacking in ingredients advertised in the menu. Another starter arrived which was nice of them to update it but it tasted so bad and still so small it was horrible and I couldn't eat it. My main meal arrived and I could not eat it either. That was served on a small tea plate too. It tasted of grease instead of the advertised creamy mushroom sauce. I tried to eat it so as not to offend but I couldn't force myself. The staff are nice and it's a shame how bad it was. I was offered another meal but I couldn't get the taste of grease out my mouth and thought I was going to throw up. I feel they should have offered to deduct the bad food from my bill but they didn't. If they had offered I probably would have paid anyway because of the staff. I did tell them how bad it was because they asked me. For the first time anywhere I did not leave a tip when I paid the bill. After using Luigis for many years I...

Read moreI popped in here whilst away with work on a weekday. Absolutely fantastic from the moment I walked in. Great atmosphere and lovely service. I had the Rara Ghost lamb ( chunks of lamb and mince in a mild-mid spice creamy sauce) Garlic naan and mushroom rice. On first visual impression I was amazed at the quality of the sundries. They looked the quality that you would get in the kind of restaurant that costs twice as much as this place. On tasting everything was amazing. Naan - authentic and very garlicy. Mushroom rice - rice was delicately flavoured, not too oily and the mushrooms were cooked fantastically. The Rara was great. I'd usually have a spicier dish but this was a welcome change of pace. The chunks of lamb were cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth.
I never give reviews even though I go to a lot of places. Absolutely...
