Whilst sat inside a family of 8 entered and begin to rearrange furniture, I was very impressed with staff who dealt with this asking the family not to move any chairs, however when the customers continued to ignore the guidelines I do believe staff should've asked them to leave. It is a shame tables have not been laid out with social distancing in mind, my chair backed onto another and when the rude family decided to sit at the next door table things were too close for my liking and I left. Read moreBeen in a few times recently, coffee is always good but lacking in members of staff and food selection poor each visit with lots of items unavailable. Last visit I had a toasted teacake which arrived barely toasted and not warm enough to melt the butter that came with it. Wanted to return it but saw the queue was so long and only 1 member of staff working behind the counter trying to deal with everybody's order that it wasn't worth the queue time...I left it but won't look forwards to returning as after many visits this coffee shop never improves to be honest.Its never a treat. Read moreIt's a lovely building but such a shame it's spoilt by the very slow service. Standing in a queue for 25 minutes for a coffee is just beyond belief especially as there was only 5 in front of me. The tables were dirty and needed clearing and today they were only serving coffee in take away cups as there was not enough staff on the wash up. Really? I feel sorry for the staff as they were working their socks off as fast as they could. In the end I gave up and went to another coffee shop. Whoever owns coffee1 is still making a lot of money but please get your staffing issues sorted and look after your staff...
