While ice-cream, by no means, is the only thing they serve, I was told by a very friendly group of hikers along the Salcomb Coastal Path that, of all the ice-cream served in town (and believe me, ice-cream is EVERYWHERE!), that this was the spot with the best. Not so delicious is the cost these days, however. At £4.95 for a small, 'double-scoop' cup (or cone) doesn't really feel like value for money. And other than a 1.2 litre tub, that's the largest you can buy (they used to sell a three-scoop tub). I accept prices have to go up, but this feels steep, especially when you consider the massive price disparity between a double-scoop cup and a 1.2 litre tub.
So yes, remains a place to visit, and the quality remains high. But not all that...
