I love this elegant, comfy and very friendly cafe. I've been several times and the owner is especially delightful and helpful, as are all the staff I have encountered there. The coffee is great, the decor is stylish whilst being homely, it is light and airy throughout thanks to the big windows on all exterior walls. And the food is really great. I've had their cakes before, and today I had a baked sweet potato with tuna salad, and my mum had a cheese scone with brie and fig jam (this was a mix of 2 things on the menu). Everything was superb. The brie was the best I've tasted in a long time! I have also sat in the window chair and sketched the view outside before, no one pesters you for staying too long, and the old architecture outside is lovely to look at. My new favourite cafe in...

Myself ,my parents , my son and his wife and my two grand children came here. Beautiful service to begin with. Nice food nice young polite staff. An older lady I believe with an accent finished cleaning our table when stating that some of the items on the table were not from there. I explained someone walked passed and left the coffee cup. She then asked if my son was ordering food from there or can she have his seat. We all had ordered and hadn’t even paid for our food yet. Just the younger lady had done an amazing job and had started to clear our table away. Complete judgement from I assume owner or lady in charge. What was meant to be a nice afternoon tea was absolutely ruined by this one lady. Such a shame that her younger staff did way better than someone that should...

So, when you see a sign that says "we're awesome", you have to check it out and at least ask what it is that can justify said claim.

Well, from the homemade cakes including a delectable hummingbird cake! (don't know what it is? You'll love it). All using good ingredients.

Via an inspired chai latte and a good cup of coffee. Through to the iced earl grey tea (very refreshing).

There is something for you here.

The service is definitely with a smile, as is the welcome. Sidmouth has just acquired something very special.

You would be mad to not give this a try.

We'll...

Lovely little tearoom slightly tucked away by the church in Sidmouth. Inside or outside seating. Fast very friendly service with lots of smiles. I had Savory Scone Tea, a pot of tea with a warm cheese scone, came beautifully served with butter, cheese slices ( a tasty mature cheddar), tomatoes and onion relish, it was just sooooo was delicious I cant tell you, scone was so tasty and light to eat. The carrot cake and milk shake was just as good and went down very well too. Very lucky find while on holiday.

Just visited someday something with my elderly in-laws both of whom are in wheelchairs. The food was excellent, but the best part was the staff who were so helpful and patient with us. If I am ever back in Sidmouth I would definitely visit again. Menu is not huge but that just allows them to provide really nice lunch / afternoon type food. Prices are reasonable compare to other places we have visited this week. So if your passing and want a nice little lunch or cream tea give this place a go.
