Sidmouth Toy and Model Museum — Attraction in East Devon

Fantastic museum in the heart of beautiful Sidmouth. I took my daughter here because of the enormous display of Sylvanian Families. There were so many other toys to look at from lego, dolls, games, star wars memorabilia, cars but the huge working train displays and the Sylvanian Families display were our favourites. There were 2 fun quizzes for the children with a prize at the end - it certainly made sure they read all the information boards! This museum is a real find. It is packed full of toys and exhibits and it has clearly been curated as a labour of love by its creators. The interactive displays and quizzes really added to our enjoyment of the museum. It was really fun to see some of the toys from our childhood and our daughter was delighted by some of the old toys, especially the original Lego mini figures. There's something for everyone here. A huge collection of toys beautifully curated. You'll find memorabilia for Star Wars, Doctor Who and Sylvanian Families to name just a few, with popular toys, games and hobbies from all those decades past getting full representation. Kids will love it, and grown ups will almost certainly love it too - you are bound to find something forgotten from your childhood on show here.
