Passiflora — Restaurant in East Devon

We were really excited to discover this cafe as we’re vegan and local to the area but unfortunately our experience left us feeling very uncomfortable! It’s a shame as we’re in Seaton most weekends and were hoping this could become a regular spot.

We arrived just after lunch and asked politely if we could work from our laptops outside for a few hours (ofc as customers of the cakes and drinks), we were greeted with a very cold and unfriendly atmosphere from the two female staff members in there and told that she could ‘allow maybe an hour’ for us to be there. We were the only people in the cafe at this time and there were around 8+ free tables. We received unpleasant looks and communication for the short period of time we were there from the lady who I presume is the owner?

Vibes are everything and whether you were having a bad day or not - this needs to be worked on if you would like...

Visited today with a friend, ordered a cappuccino and sat in the garden. The decor of plants is nice however as soon as we walked in we were greeted with unfriendly looks from the waitress and instead of any kind of warm welcome just told they would be with us shortly. Not a very friendly vibe. I could have forgiven that, but then the cappuccino was very bitter. They could do with barista lessons. Overall nice pretty atmosphere, but unfriendly staff and the drinks...

Popped in here on a whim today and came away with two beautiful plants and a very happy heart after a fuss with beautiful Wolfie. Such a lovely shop, beautiful plants that look very healthy, expert knowledge. Would be in here all the time if we...
