First visit to the Railways kitchen a couple of Saturday mornings ago, due to a nearby farm cafe being full. So glad we found this place on Google. Having read other posts, we decided to give it a try, and we had two amazing breakfasts and great coffee in a lovely building, on the side of the railway station. We, including our dog, were welcomed with a friendly smile, and fantastic friendly, efficient service. The breakfasts were cooked to order, arriving quickly. The breakfasts were amazing, everything was hot, tasty and cooked beautifully. I also loved my Americano which was full of flavour and nice and hot. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lady whose name escapes me (sorry), she was so kind and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our food was really tasty and well presented. The atmosphere was so nice with locals and travellers taking advantage of what was on offer. Very clean and airy even on a scorching hot day. The food is high quality and value for money. The coffee is great with friendly staff, and we have always come away having had a great experience.
They also do a takeaway service which is ideal for trapping a hot drink and a bacon roll before hoping in the train.
