Caffè Nero — Restaurant in East Hampshire

Cafe Nero is my place to go for good coffee, the staff there are fantastic until a recent visit where my partner was made very ill from an allergy to dairy… caused my lady to be violently sick because a trainee failed to do her job

At the time of the massive cockup two trainees was left unattended while the shift leader was on lunch

The staff there are indeed very nice and are generally good people, my problem is not with the people but with the company, the company Nero are cutting staff hours, under paying the staff, and giving staff high targets, which is leading to a extremely high number of staff turnover.

On top this because of cafe Nero cutting hours and with the increase staff turnover this has led to a situation in which caused a untrained staff member to cause my partner to have a serious allergic reaction.

the trained staff are needing to have break. They deserve it but because of the high turnover of staff this isn’t the case

When you got 4 new staff and 3 trainee staff getting that ratio correct is hard!!!

If the company looks after the staff you will keep them

Not very good as gentleman didn't listen to what I asked for. I had my own cup asked for a regular latte with caramel he asked 3 times if I wanted it in the cup (not sure where else I'd have it?). He put the transaction through as a large. I also had a manual stamp card to transfer onto the app, I'd heard Nero are encouraging people to use the app. So I thought I'd give it a go. I am shocked! Having frequented many Neros this was just odd by comparison! My son always has the strawberry shake which excells in comparison to all other milkshakes. However it was as though this was from a different planet! They even made it a second time! My vegan saisage roll was not heated, as usual it was completely squashed in a toaster, the same way a toastie would be! Finally, cold food! As I was told they needed to complete another order before they delivered mine! It sat there with the flies circling! My 8 year old commented on how it was not hot!
