Well, it's a weatherspoons pub, so it does what it says 'on the tin'. A wide menu selection, with a soft drink or beer for £10 or less. Curry, pizzas, burgers, fish, and chips. Ice cream, etc. The place is huge, with lots of smaller areas that all flow into one another. There is a pay and display car park at the side, but be careful parking here as I got a parking ticket. The festival car park is only 1 minute walk away and free after 6 pm. You order and pay at the bar for food. You need to tell them your table number, or you can download the app and order from your phone while sitting at the table. There is free WiFi that you have to sign in to use. It's never too busy in the evenings. You can usually get a table. There are tvs always on and fruit machines if you don't value your money..

Beware- Probably one of the most grim Wetherspoons in the country, very run down. Staff could do with training as they were swearing and yelling at eachother. To top this off their parking machines did not work. I tried to pay by card and cash however the machine seemed to not be working. My colleague also tried his card which also did not work. Their parking machines seem to use ancient technology however the car parks cameras are top teir technology. I know this as I was sent a £75 parking fine with ultra high resolution pictures of my car. Will I be back? Absolutely not. Another chavtastic Wetherspoons for you.

Staff having to wear body cameras? Visited with family in tow and treated to good food and excellent service, thank you Whetherspoons - dependable quality and dependable service from a hard working team. But some of the team feeling the need to wear body cameras? (meaning they've had to face troublesome customers one too many times). That's not a good reflection on some of the clientele. C'mon Petersfield, you can do better than this, surely? (Four stars out of five as it's good food, served hot and cheap, but if you want gourmet, go somewhere else for twice the price 💚)

Ive been a frequent customer here for a number of years with no complaints but my latest experience was terrible. I went for a meal on a Friday at around 5pm with my partner and our 4 year old son, couldn't find a table to sit down at due to the place being full of teenage school children. This Wetherspoons for some bizarre reason had a policy whereby they allow unaccompanied kids to spend time in their premises until 9pm each evening. Most of the kids were in school uniform and a small handful where sitting eating meals sensibly, but the majority of the teens were in large groups with only a couple of them having purchased a £1.20 refill hot drink. Eventually found a table to sit at but had to endure a constant stream of teens barging past in large groups so that ones of the group could refill a coffee while the others watched and laughed on. I used to think that this policy was a good idea for teens, however it is now clearly very popular with this age group and the staff appear to simply let them run riot. I will definitely not be revisiting for dinner any time soon as I am too old for a youth club environment!!...

It is a Wetherspoon pub, so you know what to expect, mediocre food for a reasonable price.

Had to complain about my wife's meal though, in the middle of her chips we found a non chip item, turned out to be half an onion ring that had been cooked about more times than the rising sun has risen. This was brought to the attention of one of the Wetherspoon waiters, who apologised most profusely and confirmed that it certainly looked like an onion ring. I asked him to bring it to the attention of the kitchen staff and requested that they cleaned out there chip baskets between order, he left us never to be seen again. Why go to Wetherspoons I hear you say, I believe in their campaign for real ales and choice of drinks with the freedom to buy in from around the world, also the companies stance on the EUROPEAN Union debacle, what I don't believe in is their ability to deliver hot food to the table. This is all to often in not all but many...

I was in the pub on the night of the bad review about 11th March, below. A table was abusive to the wonderful staff, and members of the party assaulted staff in the pub. Why should pub workers be subjected to people throwing glassware and mugs at them, and then suffer bad reviews when some of their customers are only banned when they should have been arrested? This place is well run and the staff are wonderful. If you doubt that, then go and see how well they treat the non-aggressive customers. The beers are exceptionally well kept, as the staff are well trained and have to check all ales every hour. They offer exceptional value and have to put up with such rude and entitled people who get upset at not being allowed to bully and assault staff, so leave bad reviews. I am an occasional customer, not staff, and have never had a bad experience here. Try this pub and see...
