A lovely little bar situated at the bottom of the High Street, serving light bites/snacks inc' burgers, wings etc.with both hot & cold drinks. A small but substantial bar also includes 3 locally sourced cask ales & several keg craft varieties. On my several visits I have found the ale to be in excellent condition & temperature. Other than the excellent cakes, I didn't try the food so cannot comment, although if appearances count for anything it did look good. If you're a real ale/ craft ale drinker this place is definitely worth a visit. Recommended. Update: 15/2/24 I visited to day & im pleased to report that the high standards are still being maintained. The toilets were clean, that bar & outside areas were likewise. The only downside for me (which is a personal preference) was the cask ales, which we're all too traditional & malty. I'd personally prefer a more hoppy variety. That said they we're all well kept & in good condition. Applause to the team for their consistancy

The Townhouse is run with great flair. It has an excellent variety of beers, for example British ones and exceptional Belgian ones such as St.Bernardus - Apt 12. There is a good variety of tasty food & a friendly atmosphere. There's a pleasant small garden and they are dog friendly. Really enjoyed their Sunday live jazz jam. Looking forward to the next visit!

Awesome dinner at the townhouse. Had the salt and pepper squid... And the dipping sauce was insane!!! Then had the chicken burger with fancy chips. Sooo good! Thank you guys for another awesome visit! There is a reason you are award winning! Nail it every time! Can't wait to come back

We went for lunch on a Thursday. Because it was a lovely day we sat in the garden. The decor of the bar oozes comfort and there is further seating upstairs. When we walked through there was a mixture of professional and casual people and the ambience of the naturally light bar was comfortable. The garden was a revelation and we were pleasantly surprised as there was little indication that it was there. The service was friendly and spot on. There is a wide range of dishes with vegetarian, fish and meat available. I had a butternut squash salad with cous cous and mint which was very pleasant but my wife's surpassed mine with figs and warm pears. Delicious and highly recommended. Because this bistro style bar is a little further down the high street it is missed by some people visiting Petersfield. This is a shame because I cannot recommend it highly enough, especially when compared to some of the chain restaurants. A gem. Go there and you won't be...

Unfortunately I had a terrible experience at the Townhouse today. 4 persons, myself my husband and two friends The serving team were non attentive slow clumsy and frankly clueless. Spilling my coffee into the saucer and not offering assistance. I had the club sandwich but in a wrap. The chicken and bacon were overcooked. Almost as if precooked then heated up inadequately. My husband had the toasted sandwich again he asked for added bacon which was overcooked. Cheese not melted at all. My friends had fish and chips. Several weeks earlier that had fish and chips which they enjoyed not so on this occasion. It's very...
