The Natural Food Deli — Restaurant in East Hampshire

Food was great, but service was awful. After 20 mins of being ignored, I had to go and find someone to ask if we could order some food. It then looked like our drinks order got forgotten, so our food was left (ready) in the kitchen, while we reminded the staff that we didn't have any drinks. Half an hour in, and we finally got our drinks, immediately followed by the food that had been plated up 5 or 10 mins ago. Food was great, but the chef was badly let down by the waiting staff. And then we had to listen to the, 'sorry, but we were really busy and we're understaffed' story - that sort of 'it wasn't really our fault because...' excuse really does annoy me - how hard is it to say, 'you're right, we got it wrong and we're sorry'? Shame - the food was great and we've been a few times in the past and always liked the place - unlikely to ever return again. They did take off the cost of the drinks, and offered to take off the cost of the food aswell - but I didn't come here for free food or drink - just nowhere near...

Came here for the first time today for lunch with a friend and what a refreshing change! Excellent choice of healthy, but very tasty fresh food. If you fancy a nutritious, healthy breakfast or lunch or just coffee and cake - this is the place to go to in Petersfield. We love the food and drinks on offer here. We often stop here for lunch, consisting of a main and 3 salads. All very tasty. Service is generally very good but can vary depending on how busy it is and staff numbers/experience. Dogs are welcome at the front but this is limited to a couple of tables.
