Malabon Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in East Hampshire

I decided to visit this Indian restaurant after looking at the impressive reviews it has online and I will say the owner or elder chap was very rude from the moment we arrived. He made us stand after booking a table in advance. He never made eye contact or even said sorry for making us stand as we waited for over 10 minutes.

Eventually when he did acknowledge us he told us to 'sit over there!' pointed, no sorry or nothing. Didn't even show us to our table it was down to another member of staff who was polite to say sorry.

All the elder owner did after observing his actions throughout my dining experience, he was too busy counting and using a calculator to examine his bills and more inetested in his takings from the moment he arrived until we left he did it to every table.

The moment we asked for the bill to a waitress he came straight over no thank you, how was your food, just snatched the card from the table never said a word no thank you even when we paid! That is damn right rude and discusting behaviour seen as your rating for the service which is what you pay for not just the food.

That attitude ruined the evening for me and will not be back again. I would think before you come here if that's the general attitude of the owner.

When we left he opened the door didn't even shake our hands properly.

Not impressed as far as customer service goes. I think some people lose sight of the fact that it's the customers who ultimately pay the wages and the running of the business - not just the money he is generating during...

So living locally and always want to use local foods, I usually once every so often treat ourselves for a takeaway, this evening was an Indian from the Malabon in Petersfield. Well the only way I can put it, is stay well clear. Within 15 minutes the food was delivered at my door. That itself says something. The food was absolutely tasteless, bland and extremely well over priced, I bought a tandoori chicken starter for my wife and all she got was a cold dried up portion of a leg of chicken for just under £6 ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING. The mains were shocking, 5 bits of meat in a sauce that seemed it was out of a jar. No color no taste.

Muj is the epitome of a great restaurateur - and it shows with the Malabon. Consistently great food, warm, welcoming ambiance, friendly and attentive service. Muj also goes above and beyond in trying to ensure customers have a great experience, learning his regulars favorite dishes and recommending new dishes based on your order history - which have all been a superb hit.
