Poor service, moved from one place to another. No menus given, told to look online at roast dinners. Then charged more for meal than online menu To top it off, as I was finishing my meal found a small black hair ony.plate Was not charged for a bowl of roast potatoes as way of apology Never again! Was recommended to me by a friend, must have just chosen a bad day but never again! Wouldn't normally ever dream if giving a bad review, but that was shocking! Just wasted £17! Feel quite sick now too, physically

Update- To respond to your reply You have made a mistake! I didnt ask to be moved at all, your staff moved myself and the young person I was with! And you supplied some extra potatoes when I explained the young person was dairy free (which was very nice of you) I expected to pay extra for this and explained so! The hair was hidden behind the Yorkshire pudding on my plate and yes I had almost finished my meal, but when I attempted to eat the Yorkshire, I noticed the hair and explained I couldnt eat anymore of the meal I found staff and owner to be defensive although apologetic! I felt sick due to eating before finding this small black hair on my plate! I so wish I had found it at the begining of my meal! I do not have short black hair myself, neither does the young person I was with, however your waitress (I noticed) did have black hair! To conclude, these things do happen, but, i didnt like the way i was treated over this incident! Also, meal was more expensive than online prices. No menu with updated price list was supplied (wasnt available) at sitting I fully appreciate you do not need bad reviews from your customers, but I would urge you look at how you treat people, because, if I felt I was valued, hair or no hair, I would never have dreamed of leaving a bad...

Get the pie or don't eat here. I booked in advance but they put us in the garden although it was cold. They did then agree to move us when we asked. The tiny room we were put in was horrible. Food choice looked good and my pie was nice (lots of meat) but the mushroom stroganoff came without the mash we ordered. When we said this they said we couldn't have it and instead offered pasta, so we said yes to pasta. The pasta arrived still uncooked and crunchy so we sent it back and it came back microwaved, so still crunchy and uncooked. The burgers were disgusting and the mushy peas that we asked for were just normal garden peas. The bar man apologised and gave us the veggie meal for free (it hadn't been eaten) but the cook was clearly terrible. Summer review: Walked in with two primary aged children and a big dog. Great service, generous sized drinks. There are some steps in to the garden but manageable for children. Kids play area is a decent sized Astro turf with large netting, so bring your own toys for creative or sporting play to suit your kids. My kids where delighted. Dog was also happy with the multiply drinks bowls available.

Winter review: Pop in for a quick quiet meal on a Thursday night and am very impressed with the experience. Excellent curry and 0% beer. Great staff, excellent atmosphere, sky football quietly on in the background. Will be back to try their other non alcohol...
