After recently relocating to the area with my girlfriend, we stopped by for a drink on a Friday after work and appreciated the pub's atmosphere. Since it was nearby, we planned to return the following Saturday. However, we were told we were unwelcome because I was wrongly accused of using drugs in the restroom. I assured the lady behind the bar that I had never done drugs and am not that kind of person, but she dismissed my explanation. She claimed she recognised me by company t-shirt was the reason for her assumptions, and that was her only basis for her decision, I’m a responsible respectful young man and I feel degraded and embarrassed by her ridiculous...

Excellent welcoming freehouse just under 10 minutes (uphill) walk from Ware town centre. Pleasant suprise to see two Chantry beers on my visit, brewery is in Rotherham 🍺. The three real ales on offer change frequently I believe. It is in the 2025 CAMRA Good Beer Guide.
