Firstly, this place allows you to take your (well behaved) dog inside! What more could you want? Secondly, to say the people turnover is so high, it is pretty clean - the tables are emptied and cleaned really quickly! Lastly, the food is great! Everything is cooked fresh to order (it takes about 10 minutes to get fish, chips, mushy peas and bread and butter) and the drinks - either soft or alcoholic are super chilled and refreshing (the hot drinks are - obviously - hot!). Overall, if you want a good meal (or drink) with your four legged best friend (or even if you don't give this place a try, you wont regret it!)

In Skeggy for the day and always worried food will be sub par due to aiming for bigger profits, however, top fish, and the kids loving the pizza

Great food. Generous portions. Fast service. Friendly staff. All next to Pleasure Beach and a minutes walk from town or the beach front

We dine here quite often when at our caravan as dogs are welcome and the food is generally very good and we do especially enjoy a breakfast here. Visited Sunday 3rd August and just popped in for 2 teas as wasn’t too hungry on this occasion but unfortunately the young lady on the till hadn’t got a clue about manners or customer service, not seen the lady before so maybe a new employee but never said a word and no please or thank you to the point I felt like walking out but instead I politely told the lady good manners cost nothing to which I was totally ignored so I repeated myself but ignored again unfortunately. I am not a person to stand on ceremony but detest bad mannered people. Won’t stop me returning as we do like the place but if there is a repeat performance I will definitely be asking to see the owner. Hope the feedback is...

I was working at Beach Fest 2025 as a fundraising manager and I set up for the 2nd day and went to find somewhere to eat for breakfast and I wasn't disappointed. As I have intolerances I felt a bit like I was putting the cashier out a little bit by asking if the beans contained onion powder as the only ones I can eat are Branston and HP due to them both having no onion powder in them. He gladly swapped the beans for an extra fried egg. The food was amazing though, I had 3 large runny eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, 4 halves of fried bread and tomatoes. Yes beans would have been fantastic but can't be helped as I know like all restaurants they buy in bulk for a reason. I felt really full after the brekkie can't wait to visit you again next year or sooner if there is any more shows coming up at Skeggy...

I work within a residential care group for autism and we took our guys for a trip to the seaside. We went into the arcade connected to The Tavern to play on the machines. One of our guys needed the toilet so went through to use it. We were confronted by a woman that worked there that rudely informed us that it was a 20p charge to use the toilet for non eating customers. We told the lady that that’s fine we just needed to use a toilet quickly as one of our guys patients isn’t exactly great and would probably become destructive within the building her response was ‘if he does I’ll kick him out’ and ‘you better not make any mess’ and then stormed off. This in my opinion is greatly unacceptable, her lack of empathy was disgusting. Will be putting in a formal complaint....
