Ship Inn — Restaurant in East Lindsey

Me and my family of 4 visited the ship inn on the 10/8/23. Me,my wife and my daughter sat at a 5 chair table. My mother and father in law was arriving later. As we sat down enjoying our drinks a very rude elderly person passed us and said "this is our table we normally sit here" at first we thought it was a joke but we explained our in-laws was attending shortly which she said "we don't save seats in here" then proceeded to another table ranting and raving about us and made us feel very uncomfortable. My wife is just recovering from a MS relapse and didn't need this!! Now regarding a certain member of staff. During this afternoon I always drank Carling and was always charged £3.50 a pint, a certain member of staff charged me £3.90, when I asked him why he said it was I'm not a local. This pub is literally a place that if your face doesn't fit type of place and doesn't care for tourists. I would like the manager to contact me as I never normally leave a bad review but our experience was so bad we will not return. My advice to the owners/managers is the staff should treat all customers the same and to make it clear to the "locals" that if it wasn't for tourists you probably wouldn't have a pub. The only decent thing is the auction and the bingo, if that's not your thing then definitely go elsewhere because you will not be...

We dicided to go out for Sunday Dinner so we went to the Ship Inn we ordered our dinner & sat down they had music on which wasn't too loud we got our dinners & very soon after that the lady behind the bar turned football on the TV she turned it up very loud all so she was jumping up & down in the bar wavering her hands which didn't look very good to customers a mother customer said to her why didn't you get seat tickets at the game if you like it that much she just laughed at him my husband is partly Deaf & loud sound hurt his ears so he got up & asked her to turn the sound down to which she said she would but she only turned it down a small amount we was sat right under the speaker & it was very loud so in the end we left our dinners half eaten & walked out it was a terrible experience to have. & a Totally waste of money I should have gone to the Bar & complained but I didn't see anyone else except a man walking in & out of the kitchen we won't be going in there again I can assure them of that bar staff are there to help not chace customers out...

Went for breakfast first time with my wife today bloody shocking advertisement said double breakfast so I paid for two sat for 50 minutes waiting patiently we’ll when it came out they sent two kids around 10 out with them it was a disgrace no sausage no mushrooms I counted 12 beans and watery tomatoes egg was so hard you could have bounced of the floor on top of that I asked manager where everything was that was missing and he simply said we have run out So we left everything as it was cold you falsely advertised something you honestly can’t provide no refund no apology and to top it all a customer asked the same at the bar and he was told to leave . As I was leaving the poor bar man just stood there taking it all in stay clear of this place under new management really you cannot tell me you have run a pub before shocking customer service still taking peoples hard earned cash knowing you had no food you should be ashamed...
