Pie Palace — Restaurant in East Lindsey

I attended this place with my family after reading such positive reviews - wish I hadn't....

We came for dinner during the popular holiday weeks and ordered two of the main meals from the menu. When I first went up to the counter, no one greeted me - they simply continued to walk past me until one of the staff members stared at me and nodded her head - guess that meant I could start ordering??

We had to get our drinks ourselves, not even any glasses for cold drinks just told to get some cans out of the fridge.

We decided to eat inside as we were impressed with the updated seating and chairs compared to what it looked like 10 years ago - it has improved inside. However, the flies were a nightmare!!! We have eaten in other establishments with open fronts and not had this problem.....?

Once our dinner arrived, we were shocked at the lack of presentation. My food was so obviously microwaved with sauce splattered everywhere on my plate while the other two portions of food were shocking: dry, dry, dry and again... blitzed in the microwave. We struggled to keep it down but with a cost of over £20!!!! No one wants to have a confrontation on their holiday nor should you have to complain - if the food was what was advertised, there would be no need to!!

It's obvious the most positive comments are about the chipshop but clearly the main menu is something that should be removed. You cannot claim to have homemade quality food when it is then blitzed to within an inch of its life in the microwave and tastes like it comes from a tin!!

So sad but relieved to see other reviews who agree with main menu items. Sadly, we were so put off we won't be...

First time coming in yesterday for a roast and fish and chips and everything was beautiful even put a brilliant review on tiktock so because we loved it we called back in today to get our fill before our long drive home and was disappointed this time around, the blonde hair woman at the door was really nice when greeting us couldn’t fault her one bit but when ordering all day breakfast the woman who served us wouldn’t let me swap tomatoes to mushrooms as my autistic child who also has many types of adhd can’t have them but said I would have to pay extra but the customer in front of me swapped their black pudding for extra sausage and didn’t say they had to pay extra, mad I know when a few mushrooms simply cost pence compared to meat items and a fairer substitute in my opinion and the steak pie was hard and dry around the edges although it looked lovely it was disappointing so only ate the inside bit but what I did have was lovely, and other kids had pizza and were lovely and are a good size with a fast service. This is my honest review and due to some children having disabilities and food texture sensory issues it shouldn’t end up costing more If that is the case then it should be for all customers not just one I also feel you should be able to substitute them for something they can eat around the same cost if proof of disability is needed to do it then that could have been...

Came here for a family dinner mine and my partners came 5 minutes later only 1 kids meal showed up had to wait about 10 minutes all in for my youngest to even get his food something about a mix up giving food to wrong tables , when I approached the till to ask were his food was I also stated mine and my partners food was going cold as we were waiting for my 3 year old food, they just said to go back to the table and eat mine while I wait , so I was expected to eat my meal and my partner infront of a hungry 3 year old ... it didn't happen by time his food came ours was cold and was very dry aswell I've been here 4 times in the last 3 days today would be my last visit here the staff didn't even seem bothered about it just tried putting the blame on customers eating wrong plates of food when it is the waitresses job to take the correct order to the correct table I'd avoid this establishment as it seems to have...
