Perhaps the best bakery in lincolnshire! Me and my partner went in not too long ago and the amount of choice was just amazing there was row upon row of freshly baked pastries and breads, sliced cakes, delicate treats and chocolate dipped delicacies. They had crumbling pastry covered sausage rolls and fresh out the oven buns and breads of all different shapes and sizes, biscuits and macarons fill the front window and the scent of the shop is just magical. A very polite lady behind the counter could tell we'd never been there before and told us so much about the different items they sell and the goods that are popular. We have returned on a few occasions and will be returning again shortly. Would Highly Recommend!!

Super tasty food. Lots of choice including quiches, filled baguettes, pork pies, sausage rolls plus many more savoury items. Same with the sweet options, like huge meringue kisses, rocky road, millionaires shortbread, caramel tiffin, cream cakes, cannolis, you name it, they probably have it. The baguettes are so crammed full of filling and flavours that they're worth a drive out to get those alone! Everything I've ever had from here has been top tier and the same can be said from those I've visited with. With queues often out the door (though quick moving) it's easy to understand why. I always stop here after a walk around Ostlers plantation, and it has never disappointed.

Looks beautiful inside with a real Danish design and their cakes "look" fantastic BUT.. I love cake & bought alot of their cakes but they were not that nice. Cakes that are typically fresh cream were in fact buttercream so it was just mouthfuls of oversweetened buttercream. Their white chocolate tiffin and millionaire slice was very cheap tasting and their shortbread tasted like the cheap long lasting stuff you can buy for Xmas shortbread houses. Really disappointed. And p.s. Their chocolates were nice but had no labels and the young girl couldn't tell me what any of them were. Place has potential to be far better!

A bit hit and miss. Last week I bought a Cornish pastie, cheese pastie, 2 sausage rolls. Last week they were really good. A week later I bought exactly the same and what a disappointment. All the same items were as if they had been supplied by a completely different supplier. All of the items appeared to be the cheaper version of what I had a week earlier. Therefore, not consistent in the pastry department. Too expensive for poor consistency. I won't be popping in again.

In response to your reply. It is quite unprofessional to be referring to my comments as "Weird". Therefore, if it is the case that pastry items are baked on site, then it is even worse than I thought. You are obviously unable to maintain consistency. The Cornish pastie was just full of gravy and hardly anything else. The sausage roll was all pastry and hardly any meat. The cheese pastry had a slim slither of cheese in it. It was a lot better the previous week.

Therefore, it would have been more professional for you to acknowledge the fact that there may be inconsistencies.

If you are going to charge a fortune for your stuff, then keep it good. A Ginster Cornish pasty at half the price is 10 times better than your version of it.

Oh well, it's all about the...

We took our family from Yorkshire out for the day and popped in for a snack. My partner is vegetarian. I wanted a slice of bacon & caramelised onion quiche my partner the mushroom and leek. After cutting the bacon quiches, we predicted (correctly) that the server was going to use the same knife to cut the other one, we stopped her and asked her if she could use another knife. We were stunned by her dismissive response, “well I can wipe it with sanitizer but no we don’t have any more knives” yep that was her response! I asked what about if someone has an allergy. Her (again dismissive) response was “they all have the same allergens” I decided not to explain that there are more allergens than just the standards. So yes poor standards, poor customer service. They have a captive market though so they...
