I took my wife for an Afternoon Tea today, and we throughly enjoyed it. We have lived in the area for 8 years now, and often visit the Tea House In The Woods for a coffee and cake...with each time being fantastic. Today was no exception, we was greated with a warm welcome from their friendly staff, who looked after us throughout our stay. The Afternoon Tea for Two was very tasty and generous portions, which left us full afterwards. All the food was fresh and at the highest quality. I could talk about many establishments that serve high quality food, but what makes the Tea House In The Woods stand out above the rest, is two things for me...firstly, the building and setting itself. As the name suggests, it is a Tea house in the woods. The building is full of character, from the furnishings to the books on display, and it is set in beautiful grounds in a charming village. Secondly, and most importantly, is the people...the staff there were (and always have been) truly amazing. They cater to your needs and fully explain items on the menu. They always have a smile on their faces. We went today for my wife's birthday, and the staff made us feel like VIPs, it truly was special, and we can't thank them enough. The Tea House In The Woods is one of our favourite places to go in the local area...and we...

This is one of the best places locally to eat. We've always enjoyed it.

The waiters and waitresses are by far the most attentive I've encountered anywhere without them being over the top. They really are awesome.

The restaurant is always clean and well presented and very inviting. We've eaten at The Tea House In The Woods many times, but never for Sunday lunch before so today was a first for us for Sunday lunch.. The meal was plentiful, hot and very well presented. I had the roast beef. Unfortunately I felt the beef didn't taste as though it'd been traditionally roasted. I thought it may have been cooked in a water bath as It was very insipid and lacked that delicious, traditional 'roast beef' flavour. I'm afraid the gravy didn't come up to par either this time and had a distinct flavour of a 'stock pot' rather than being made from meat juices. It certainly didn't taste like a gravy I'd associate with Sunday lunch.... I was very disappointed that this time my lunch didn't hit the spot..

I decided not to mention my thoughts to the staff feeling that my views would be taken more seriously if I left a review..

I will continue to eat at this restaurant because I've never had reason to be disappointed before, but unfortunately I won't be visiting again for...

We sat in the garden after turning up without a booking. The man at the front of house was very flamboyant and over the top in his theatrical manner with the customers, but that was all fine and dandy. Had heard several good things about the homemade wasp vinegar that the tea house collect and serve but we didnt really see many wasps at all or any vinegar. I was quite up for buying a bottle of it and takign it home to put on my pancakes, but it wasnt to be this time. Is it s seasonal thing? Is it harvested when they close down the wasps nests at the end of summer? It woudl be good to know so we can time our next visit a bit better. It did almost rain so maybe that put them off. The man offered to put us under cover with some other customers but we didnt mind being damp. Just be good to get the vinegar next time because its quite a drive from Swansea just for a slice of carrot cake and a latte. That said the carrot cake was a good moist slice. Maaureen had an upset tummy driving home down the B644 into Bognar but I dont think that had anything to do...

Large tea house tucked away in Woodhall's woods. We'd been wanting to come here for a while so was excited when we had the chance. We arrived on a bitterly cold but seemingly busy day so had to sit outside. This wasn't a massive problem but with my 2 month old baby it would have been nice to have kept warm inside but we hadn't booked so can't complain about that. As a fan of a ploughman's I chose their version and opted for the extra cheese with an additional surcharge of £3 on top of the £11 base price. The ham and Haslet were good but the remainder of the plate left me feeling a little hard done by. You can see from the picture that nearly half the plate was salad and accompanying that was a tiny end piece of bread, two quarters of a small pork pie and a woefully inadequate amount of cheese for the additional money paid. It talked a good game especially with all the other reviews and a 4.7 score but failed to deliver for us. I expected it to be on par with its amazing neighbour, Kinema In The Woods, but was left feeling underwhelmed and overcharged.

Racist, rude behaviour of staff & owner. They made me sit next to door. I asked to change my seat & I was told that my table was the last that they booked yesterday. Food was so so. I took the photo of tables empty through out the time I was sitting there. I entered at 12 & left at 12:46. The lady claiming to be employer says I was not offered other table as it was booked for 2 pm.. & people don’t eat quickly as I did. I was on my own so how long was I supposed to sit in an odd space & talk to myself with my white coat on my thigh to stop the cold wind coming from door. She then told me, don’t pay, I told her I would pay, don’t need their mercy. I was the only non British & I found them very very racist & horrible. Never going again. Plz don’t go there.

We decided to visit here whilst going to the kinema just around the corner. We arrived and greeted by the waiter and informed there was only outdoor seating available as we hadn’t booked which was our mistake. However when the weather began to turn and there were spots of rain we attempted to put up the umbrella provided and informed by the same waiter that we were not allowed, but his colleague then said we could. After ordering with the lovely lady at the till we had a coffee and panini each which were nice but the chicken was dry and seemed to have been left out and then again as was like rubber. We will visit again and book the next time around and update the review.
