Really really impressed!!! This is the second year we've been to Skeg as a family and pass this pub on a daily basis, however we decided (after finding a 25% off food bill voucher online) to have lunch. It's huge with 2 large bars, one was closed which is where we ate, food came swiftly in all fairness we were some of the only people there. Food was absolutely spot on, home cooked and very tasty. Plenty for the kids to do even has a 2p pusher and 2p change machines, along with air hockey, pool tables and £5 bandits. Staff were friendly and even provided taxi numbers as we were heading home. On a side note the toilets were clean, modern and spacious something I don't see alot with large pubs! Will defiantly be going again next year. Thank You guys great service!

Loved the art deco exterior and wanted to visit for years. So this time we went. The entrance is amazing with its double doors leading to the central staircase. Carpet is in keeping with the building. Large oversized bar fittings. Sadly the toilet facilities went too modern and not in keeping with the period. Would prefer to have seen the original tiles and feature sinks and taps. Choice of drinks is good, the food menu was a little disappointing. It commands a fantastic location near the seafront and would have liked to have seen locally sourced fresh fish choices and something this place is screaming out for. Definitely an art deco landmark that should be treasured.

Saw 'The Score' play here on May 1st 2022. The venue doesn't look ideal but once the band and the crowd get going everything changes. I guess it depends on the band & the audience but fortunately both were brilliant on the day. The band played for well over 3 hours & the crowd still wanted more. The Score know a huge number of songs, as the Bassist pointed out, "three hours and we still haven't run out of songs". Every song went down well with the audience, it was near 100% crowd participation. The drinks flowed uninterrupted throughout & hot food was available outside. Thanks to the Ship, The Score & the crowd for one of the best gigs I've been to. 👍😎

So, all seems good myself my husband and our son went for our tea tonight. Me and my husband order the exact same meal, they get brought to the table and there is a huge difference in the plates. My husbands looked like a full meal, the chip portion on mine looked like a kids portion of chips. Anyways when our son’s meal got brought out I mentioned this to the waiter (Tom) who basically shrugged and said he couldn’t do much about it but he would speak to the chef. He spoke to the chef and said there was nothing that could be done but his whole attitude during the situation was basically ‘I don’t care’ to the point my husband asked for a manager (my husband isn’t one for complaining and is generally extremely calm) due to the fact of this waiter’s attitude towards the situation. Whilst waiting for the manager I noticed that my glass had lipstick on (I wasn’t wearing any makeup). The manager came over I explained the situation to her, she instantly sorted the whole issue out and the food was actually beautiful and so yummy.

But Tom, if your attitude towards paying customers is you basically don’t care I would find another job that isn’t...

Went on a weekend break to Skegness and what a great find. Found the whole pub inside and out very clean and tidy and all staff very helpful and seemed very happy to serve customers unlike some other pubs I went in over the weekend. Managed to have a couple of pints of one of my favourite beers Doom bar and it was excellent, also other large selection of other beers lagers and cider as well as spirits are available, as a stranger in town I was made very welcome by the people that I spoke to .where the pub is located there is a selection of takeaway outlets just across the road if you fancy something to eat on the way back home, don't know if the Ship does food but would no doubt would have tried through the daytime opening hours, large outdoor seating area is situated to the front and on my Saturday night visit was treated to a motorcycle parade with all the bikes lit up in all sorts of colors, if you manage to get to Skegness give it a try. 5...

So on the way to skegness we usually stop for somewhere to eat on the way however we weren't able to find anywhere. After we had arrived and unpacked we decided to try to find somewhere to eat, that was a nightmare in itself, after finding a few places that were closing we decided on the ship, we were lucky to find a table as it was pretty busy. Got a menu and ordered 2 steak & ale pies, a steak at medium and scampi and some drinks, well then staff were lovely very chatty and friendly. The food took about 45 minutes but we were told this before hand. The food was ok i guess nothing special, the pies didn't really have much in terms of filling, the steak was overcooked and the scampi just your normal frozen ones, i don't know honestly if I'd come here again for food which cost over £50, I think if the food quality would improve i would as the staff were lovely and even thanked us and said...
