I visited your restaurant today and ordered the mixed grill. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed because the steak came out medium well. When a waitress came over to ask if everything was okay, I told her it wasn’t – that the steak was medium well. She responded by saying it was “more like medium,” in a way that made it seem like she knew better than me. It felt strange and a bit dismissive.

I’ve attached a photo so everyone can judge for themselves. After a moment, she came back and offered to replace the steak, but that would have meant waiting for just the steak on its own, and I didn’t want to do that as I was only stopping briefly.

Based on the reviews on TripAdvisor, I expected the food here to be quite good, but sadly I was disappointed. If a steak isn’t medium rare, then it simply isn’t medium rare. I didn’t really feel like eating it, but I was hungry and on the road, so I did.

Staff working in a restaurant should educate themselves more when it comes to cooking food. I am attaching a chart showing the correct steak doneness levels. I have worked in the industry for 15 years, and I do not make a habit of arguing with servers who are wrong but think they are right. This is very unprofessional, and such behaviour can really push customers away. I strongly recommend proper staff training to avoid situations like this in the future.

So were to begin,

Having previously been and had an ok meal as a treat we decided to take our son for something to eat

On arrival nice a pleasent and welcoming environment as last time.

However the happiness ended, after ordering the food -in which most things were out of stock- we awaited for our order.

After ordering a signature mixed grill I was feeling quite hungry and looking forward to a rare treat especially at £16. The best way I can describe this surposible mixed grill is microwaved chewy chicken and old boot for steak. The sausages looked they had be carefully introduced to a stove to then be taken off straight way.

My partner's hunters chicken was the same feeling as well - the chicken again was mushy and some what slimy on a non sizzling platter.

After taking time to decide what he wanted, my son decided on a hotdog which was much like my one -cold and very very pale- with soggy old corn on the cob which must of been cooked 20 times over in a microwave.

During our meal no-one came over to ask if everything was ok or how is the food (simple things go a long way)

The best bit of the meal was the cold glass of coke.

What an absolute waste of time. While at the bar I got ignored by 2 different bar staff. Then when I ordered food most of what I ordered was out of stock. So I reread the menu changed the order. The table service was terrible as the staff didnt seem to know what they where doing and what cutlery when to which food, or what sauces was available as condiments. The food came out not as ordered. Sent it back and no more than a min later it came back burnt. Asked to send it back to have it replaced and to see the chef. The chef didnt come out but the manager did. The manager (that was only just old enough to drink alcohol himself and in charge of a busy establishment? He had no people skilles at all) then went on to say that I was rude and not listening even though he was over talking me and not listening to my complaint. I then asked for a refund but only part was refunded. As I was leaving the manager then rudely told me to never come back. I do not recommend this place to anyone who wants a good quality service and food. I will not...
