221B Bakers — Restaurant in East Suffolk

We went in with our little dog, no signs to say ‘no dogs’. The busy body local lady, who the staff knew by first name, in the queue said we couldn’t have our dog inside as it was somewhere that served food. We pointed out there there were no signs to the contrary, so ignored her. We ordered food and sat at the last table available. The busy body ordered after us and loudly said she couldn’t have her drink in as there were no seats. She obviously told the staff about our dog and we had to leave. The girl ejecting us was rude and humiliated us in-front of the queue of people waiting to be served and didn’t even offer a refund, but did say we could sit outside in the rain.

Utterly disgusted with out experience and will not be returning to 221B in Framingham again. The busy body held the door open for us to leave- you always remember places by how people make you feel and we felt...

This has been my favourite cafe for years, but yesterday was an absolute shambles. Unfortunately they had some sort of power issue which meant no coffee, and certain hot food. They allowed people to queue down the street without telling them there was no coffee. I opted for a sausage whopper and a bottle of water instead of my usual coffee and bacon whopper. As I sat down, I noticed several people being served coffee after I had been told there was none. I asked if I could have a coffee If the machine was working again, and was told I'd have to queue again and there was no guarantee that after queueing I'd get a coffee as it was only working intermittently. I am pregnant and had already queued for 10mins and was sitting eating the food I had already purchased! I absolutely understand the technical issues were not their fault but the whole thing was...

Been here nearly every day this last week during our stay and I am yet to find a piece of food that is 1. Fresh or 2. Has taste! I don’t know who’s in charge of staffing but each day there was not a single manner or polite word between them! Awful, ignorant, rude staff. Latest purchase was a bacon sandwich thrown across the counter with no sauce like I’d asked, two barely cooked fatty slices between co-op’s budge thin sliced loaf! They couldn’t even be bothered to cut it in half. Never never again avoid, also worth noting that every evening I’d walk past the window and see all the “fresh” items sat there on display. Everything is tasteless and microwaved trust me just try the bacon cheese turnover, it’s just air and microwave condensation. Cakes look amazing but I assure you they are as bland as everything else. I wish I could give this dump...
