The Dancing Goat Cafe — Restaurant in East Suffolk

I just wanted to share my experience. Lovely little cafe in a great location, but service was very slow given I only ordered a slice of lemon loaf cake, which was sadly very dry and a scone with two coffees. The 3 girls working were friendly, but totally disorganised. We got our coffees but had to wait a further 15 mins for the cake. Other people who ordered after us were served before us. One staff member spilt the tea, then gave the wrong order to someone outside, then forgot a coffee that was on the counter and was cold when someone came in asking where it was. Good looked great. Service was dreadful. No structure which left my husband receiving his food while mine went to someone else. Then after waiting a long time I asked where the other plate was only to be told it’s on its way. But again went outside to another person. By this time it was unacceptable and asked for a refund. Only for the food to arrive while we were being refunded. One person needs to be in charge so the other staff know what is what. Unorganised and frustrating. We only had a refund for the sandwiches. I met a colleague here for a breakfast meeting. Took the children with me. I ordered a chai latte with oat milk, 2 Avocado on sourdough, 1 oat milk hot chocolate, a can of diet coke and jam on toast. All came to £25. Kids wouldn't eat the toast or smashed avo as the sourdough was hard and not tasty, they said. I ate my avo on toast, it was tough but I was hungry. Was nice sat out the front, the staff were nice and clued up on vegan items.
