Costa Coffee — Restaurant in East Suffolk

If you'd like to be accused of shoplifting then definitely come here! I ordered two coffees and picked up a bottle of soft drink. Had the bottle in my hand and the staff didn't ring it up on the till so called the police on me saying I shoplifted. This was a totally innocent mistake but the staff made no attempt to resolve the situation informally despite me having been in this store a number of times before. I sat in the store drinking the coffees for around 40 minutes so there was ample time for them to resolve. I'm now not allowed to return to the store, bold of them to assume I'd want to after the way I've been treated! What pathetic lives the staff must have to report someone over £2.45 and to keep watch on me whilst going into other shops on the estate so they could report my whereabouts...

It was my first time that went there and didnt know where to queue, so i stood infront of the counter and then other people came after me but queued along the counter, so when the barisa said who is next it was my turn not any body else and the man in the queue noticed it and said where you first i said yes and i went forward to be served, the middle aged lady barista was not nice at all and i noticed it and its my first time to bother to leave any comment anywhere, she didnt say thank you nothing but when i was waiting for my coffee she said to every single cusomers in the queue darling and thank you!!!! I dont know if she was annoyed that i queded in a wrong place or was it because i have foreign accent.Never go there again, Staff in Costa in beccles...

If there was an option for a black star I would have given it. Whilst the revamp is aesthetically pleasing it would be quicker to jump in your car and drive to Pakefied to get served. Honestly the ditsy girl that served me stood for ages staring at the barista making drinks for the previous customer which meant I had to wait longer for my toastie to be cooked. I even had to ask for serviettes, you wouldn't believe the look I got. Customers behind me were also grumbling and it wasn't even the lunchtime rush. Roll on when these bored, unenthusiastic actually get personalities and...
