The Cafe On The Corner — Restaurant in East Suffolk

This review is not about the food, the food is nice however what i saw today completely disregards that. The server brought out the food accidentally to the wrong table which happens!!! It was just questioned and the went to server sort it out. The boss then was made aware of what happened and right infront of the customers started verbally abusing the server "Why don't you listen!" After the poor server was yelled at they both went into the kitchen. The door closed behind them and all of a sudden us customers could hear the boss screaming her lungs out at the server again! It was muffled what the boss was saying but it was a extremely aggressive tone and was a proper lecture as it was about 30 seconds long! we could hear the yelling. All the customers were looking at eachother absolutely baffled how someone thinks they can talk to anyone like that! Everybody felt terrible for the server for simply being human and making a error what wasn't that big of a deal anyway!

To the Boss of the corner cafe. The way you treat your employee is absolutely disgusting. I hope you understand that its verbal assult "You caused alarm, harassement/distress" really hope you apologise to your employee sincerely and this workplace abuse does not happen again. I used to come here regularly however I cannot support a place that encourages this behaviour. My family will be staying clear of this place unless action is taken. No bad comments about the server she was incredible for what she had to put up with. You are the only bad egg here, please...

I have used this cafe with a long time and it certainly is a throwback to the great cafes that were around in a different era ,Decent food , nice staff and a miserable boss which sums up The Corner Cafe nicely . Heating always off no such gesture as a free tea which many cafes will offer once you spend a certain figure ,weatherspoons always offer free drinks after you paid for the first one . The footfall is important and therefor as a sole trader the customer should want to return without having to want to...

Me my mum and sister like to try different places we not tried before and this has to be a really lovely surprise of just how wonderful this gem is. The service is excellent the atmosphere homely. The food was fresh we had the wrap deal and unfortunately no room for the delicious looking cakes I had my eye on on way in could not convince anyone to squeeze in any more we left very happy wasn’t sure if I should be so honest as I may not get a table next...
