After a pleasant walk along the river Deben we decided to stop at this cafe for a coffee and lunchtime snack. There are a number of tables outside on the terrace but as it was quite cold we decided to sit inside. There is quite a good selection of snacks and drinks on the menu to satisfy most tastes. We choose a tuna and cheese sandwich, sausage and bacon roll and coffee. These were freshly prepared and nicely presented and both were tasty and enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful ensuring our needs had been satisfied. This was not our first visit and definitely will not be our last.

Came in for lunch. I had the halloumi salad which was delicious and my son had the kids box which came with a variety of all his favorite things to eat. The service was great, fast and friendly. The price was very reasonable and the atmosphere was brilliant. The best part is that I can sit on the beautiful deck and watch my toddler run around and play at the boating pond. Kept him amused for 4 hours while I enjoyed my coffee and lunch… heavenly!!!

Not been here in years until this morning & what a lovely find. I was walking my dog & another walker suggested it for a ‘dog sausage’ so of course I went. I am so glad I did, dogs are very welcome & it’s in a beautiful setting too. Lots of regulars so that’s a great sign. We had tea, ginger bread man & a pup cup of chicken sausage 🐶 We will now be regulars, it is a great place to spend some time ☺️

Second time in a week I've eaten at The tea hut, although a lovely setting to one side of the boating lake I believe there is room for improvement! My first experience was good on a Monday morning. The second experience, on a Sunday was absolutely shocking, ordered food for me and my girlfriend expecting a wait of around 20/25 minutes as it was busy, I have no problem with that, 45 minutes later and realising other people who sat down after us were already getting their food, I question a waitress if our order has been forgotten. She returns a couple of minutes later saying the chef is now cooking it. Continuing to wait I nip to the toilet expecting my food to be on the table when I return, still nothing! I then have to go put another hours parking on the car, to then return to an empty table once again! After a second complaint I get told it's then being plated up, at least 5 minutes later my big hut breakfast eventually arrives with absolutely no apology of the order being stuffed up and us having to wait at least an hour! I then discover the food wasn't even worth the wait, cold toast, over cooked bacon and nearly cold beans!!! At this point I gave up complaining and ate the breakfast as quick as I could, trying to enjoy it before getting too cold! This is enough to put me off returning here, after visiting the Whistlestop cafe next to Woodbridge railway station on numerous occasions over many years and never having a bad experience, I shall be taking my custom back there...

I've gone out of my way just to come here- brilliant customer service and great food. Such a quality delicious food I cannot fault it. Took my friend with me one time and have spread the word since word of mouth is best advertiment. It's little things like gentleman holding the door open or helping with highchair when he saw me scanning the room looking for one, the ladies spent time talking to me about the surrounding since I'm new to the area. This is the true standard of what it should be like- this small business is perfect example and I'm so happy to go back and make a regular visit. They notice you and your needs, happy to help and ALL are super friendly. I'm all about supporting small business.. over the years few has lost me over rudeness because either they couldn't handle how busy they were and lack of staff or they forgot to remain humbled. I never went back to those. This one is shining example and please...

Oh my goodness; if you haven't been here whilst strolling along the river in Woodbridge make it your next stop. In the summer this is such a beautiful place to hang out. The food is varied and caters for many eating preferences from vegan to gluten free. Food is moderately priced but presented wonderfully - I can honestly say I have never had a bad choice from their menu. Go there for breakfast too as they have a morning menu to choose from. Parking is non existent as it lies between the river wall and the railway line, so this can be awkward to get to if you have limited mobility. There is plenty of paid and free street parking beyond the railway line however so that at the nearest point I would estimate at the closest you would need to...
