Wow, wow, wow. Thank you to Ash and the guys at the Bengal. Have treated us to many a good eat in and takeaway over the years. Getting Ash to tip off what you fancy on the night gives such a refreshing taste of new dishes we would have otherwise missed out on. Tonight was on a whole new level, he helped navigate us through a vegan buffet bonanza that was as tasty as ever and readily told us that vegan or veggie requirements were really easy for the kitchen. My wife and I visited here on a Thursday evening & were pleased to find it bustling with atmosphere & still providing a great spot for a date night. After delaying our mains at our request following our poppadoms we had a chicken Dansak and Makhani. The Dansak is a particular favourite of mine and this may have been the best version of it I have eaten - the sauce was delicious and the chicken on both dishes was cooked perfectly. The Makhani was new to both of us and we agreed that it could become a new favourite. A great balance between a hot and flavorful curry. My favourite Indian restaurant of ALL time ! I have come here many times with family. The staff are nothing but friendly and efficient. I couldn't expect more from the delicious food. The restaurant has a very authentic Indian feel to it. It is quite small but personally I like that it isn't huge yet this might be a problem for some people. There is, however, a very small selection of deserts. Manly just ice-cream and lassi's. This, again, isn't a problem for me as I feel that Indian food specialises in savoury meals.
