I have to give 5 stars because the food, drinks and service were all just perfect. My photo might not truly show but they must have a great chef out back because every element was cooked faultlessly. It was the best cooked English breakfast I've had in about 2 years and I've tried so so many, at much higher prices as well. In considering, i couldn't actually fault it in a single way. The staff are down to earth and lovely. My Berry smoothie was really delicious! Coffee very nice. The staff are down to earth and lovely. I just wish there was room for better toilet facilities. There is only one toilet and its not the best and uncomfortably close to the kitchen. However, everything was so great I still can't rate the whistlestop lower then 5 stars despite this!

Well situated quaint cafe in an easily accessible location just next to the train station near pubs and the cinema. Went for a lunch on a sunny weekend. The front of house staff were very helpful and had good customer service. Unfortunately there was a slight lack of seating available, and the food took 40 minutes to arrive, the napkins the cutlery was folded with was soggy which was unfortunate. They had a large range of food, the breakfasts could have done with hash browns however. Overall a decent lunch, you get what you pay for.

Hidden in the station building I suspect most visitors wouldn't know it was there. This is a classic British cafe, but with modern sensibilities, salad with bacon sandwich a good example. Staff are fun and charming. Its not large so recommend booking if you can. Was full of locals who obviously know a good thing when they see it. Good place to take visitors who haven't seen a British cafe. Excellent bacon sandwich and coffee ☕ Very dog friendly, outside space for summer.

TERRIBLE service. Me and family went in for a coffee yesterday whilst waiting for our train as it was freezing outside. We walked in and were told "we're closing in 5 minutes so you can only order drinks" in an abrupt manner. There were 3 girls working, which seemed very overstaffed given the few customers, and for the most part they were standing around doing nothing. When we were asked for our order, one of the staff members said "what do you want?", which again seemed abrupt and rude, and she clearly didn't appreciate our custom at all. We ordered coffees, and although they were closing in 5 minutes, we were given them in mugs. Paper cups would have been more appropriate, so we didn't feel so rushed! The staff were doing closing duties and any customers that walked were told that they were closed. HOWEVER, when one of the staff's family came in, they were allowed in and were served drinks! Then, all 3 members of staff disappeared leaving the cafe unmanned, despite us still being in there. The staff then returned and began sorting tips - very unprofessional in front of customers! When we quickly drank our coffees, we weren't even thanked as we left (despite all other customers who had left before us had been). It seemed as though the business was being run by a few irresponsible teenagers, who seemed annoyed at our presence, and as if it was a chore to serve us! I won't be returning and neither...

Default go to place when friends and parents come to visit and we want a meal, a snack , a coffee. I know all the Woodbridge places and The Whistle Stop Cafe is the top choice of all. If I want to treat myself to a substantial brunch it is always the Whistle Stop Cafe, inside can be busy but it is cosy and well run. Outside on a spring or summer day is the best, relaxed and pleasant with good service. The food is always good, reasonably priced and very satisfying. The coffee is excellent. There is also a bed and breakfast attached to the premises which is always the choice for visiting friends and family who love the view over the boats and river and the...
