Visited this establishent with my partner on a sunday evening for our 8th anniverasry, we firstly stood waiting to be seen to for 5 minutes, we were then told we could get a table in 15 minutes time, but then another member of staff said there was space, clearly lack of communcation skills here.
Once seated with just food menus we had to ask for drinks menus as they were clearly forgotten about (much like we would be forgotten about in the future here), after another 10 minute wait we then had our drink order taken. After receiving our drinks we waited (Very clearly with menu's on our table still, ready to order) for our food order to be taken, we waited 20 minutes as we had been forgotten or were somehow invisible for 20 minutes.
Finally the female waiter took our order stating that the she thought the male waiter had taken our order, even though we were quite clearly sat there waiting to order and even seated by this waiter. I then watched as the female waiter seemed to take on two jobs rushing around as the male waiter stood (and i timed this) for 13 minutes talking to another pair of customers, this time could have been used to do his job (like atttend to and seat the 4 people waiting to be seated) instead of talking about the Dartford crossing for 13 minutes, it was only when the female waiter came over and whispered something into his ear he decided to start being a waiter again.
Our food arrived promptly and was mediocre at best, nobody asked us how our food was (as is prevelant in every restaurant I've ever been to), but the table next to us got 5* service somehow. Also my partner didn't even get offered any cheese on her pasta, yet I heard and saw every other table get offered this. We are a younger couple who are both very laid back and quiet, yet it seems as though because of this we were treated differently compared to every other table in this establishment an this should not be the case as we are paying just like everyone else. Where was our 13 minute conversation about the Dartford crossing? Or where was our simple gesture of asking if our food was up to standard or okay?
The worst part is, I saw an older couple of ladies next to us request their bill, they received it but then I saw the male waiter simply leave the building! The lady waiter was nowhere to be seen so this poor pair of older ladies were sat there for god knows how long just wanting to pay for their bill, thankfully as we noticed we could pay online and thank god for that! When we were leaving we then passed by the male waiter having a cigarette on a bench down the road, this has to be the worst level of customer service I've experienced.

Read moreSo disappointed with Prezzo again. Last time I went to Prezzo in Chelmsford, they brought the wrong dish and it was cold. We left the restaurant without any hesitation. Last Friday we had a booking for 8 pm at Prezzo Woodbridge. We went there early (7:35 pm), as we wanted to have some drinks at bar before our booking. We had to wait 5 minutes before this gentleman came and asked for our names. There was another couple behind us who had booked for 7:30. But all of us had to wait despite there were 4 empty tables. This gentleman who asked for our names, taking other people’s order and payments. He was also cleaning the tables all with one hand, as he was carrying the payment machine on his other hand. After 25 minutes he asked the other couple to seat at the table next to us, which was empty the whole time. I am not sure why they had to wait 25 minutes. We were early but the other couple was on time yet had to wait 25 minutes for a table which was one of four empty tables! Yet they had to wait for 25 minutes! We did also wait for almost 30 minutes when he asked to go the table. He just stood in the middle of the restaurant and pointed the table with his finger. How rude! The table was ‘out of no where’. On one side there was a wall, other side window. It looked like a table for nutty people, well maybe also for not English people, even though there was two more tables available in the middle of the restaurant. Both my wife and I were upset that after waiting for 30 minutes, were forced to seat on a nutty table which by the way was empty the whole time. Anyway we didn’t stayed and went to the restaurant opposite this one which called Blue Salt Wood fired & Grill. We had been there before and liked it. We just wanted to try the Prezzo. Anyway the waiter took as to the tabel right away. The dinner was nice. Staffs so friendly. We will go back to Blue Salt again. But never ever to Prezzo. They need more staff. Friendly...

Dear Prezzo Management,
I am writing to express my disappointment following a visit to your Woodbridge branch today for my son’s birthday meal. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a special occasion turned into a frustrating and unpleasant experience.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear the restaurant was extremely short-staffed. The manager appeared to be running the entire front-of-house operation on his own. When we walked in, he was on the phone and there was no one else available to greet us. We had to stand and wait until he finished his conversation before being acknowledged.
We were then informed we couldn’t place our order because “the system was updating.” This is something I’ve never encountered in a restaurant before, and it caused unnecessary delays. The time between courses was also excessively long, despite there being only one or two other tables occupied at the time.
To make matters worse, a nearby table hosted a very loud and disruptive family. Their volume made it hard to enjoy our meal, and the manager made no effort to address the issue. This lack of action affected the atmosphere significantly and ruined what should have been a celebratory meal.
When it came time to pay the bill, I chose not to raise my concerns in front of my family, so I’m writing instead. To add to the unprofessional nature of the visit, the manager even mentioned that he had handed in his notice earlier that day – a comment that did little to instill confidence in the experience or the management of the restaurant.
I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously and escalated to senior management. Our experience today fell far short of what we expected from Prezzo, and it’s not one I would want to repeat.
