A gem of a place this; not centrally placed in town but worth the walk up to the Market Hill. I always feel we have had very good value for money whenever eating here - the quality and presentation of the food is quite enchanting, and little details like ice frosted glasses for some water with your meal make it a great experience. Staff very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable if you have dietary requirements. There is a book exchange in the seating area round the back, and info boards about local events and attractions. Read moreI came in with my two little girls on Friday and had some brunch. The girls had pancakes with bacon and syrup I had a full English. I am allergic to wheat and barley but it was fine there was lots of GF options and all the staff knew the menu and the allergy advice thoroughly. It was the nicest breakfast we have probably ever had out. I bought a brownie to take away and we shared that later and it was incredible!

Read moreWe have been meaning to go to this cafe in years and finally managed a lunch time visit. It was open on a Monday which is useful as so many eateries can be closed this day of the week. Really lovely location with seating looking out to the town hall, and plenty of seating inside. The young staff were friendly and bubbly, the food choices had more interest than the usual cafe choices, mainly a Mediterranean style. Coffee was delicious.
