I've had the pleasure of dining at the 1912 Restaurant in Eastbourne several times, and each visit has left me absolutely delighted. This charming establishment has become a personal favorite, and I can't wait to return for another fantastic dining experience.

The moment you step into the 1912 Restaurant, you're transported to a world of refined elegance and timeless class. The historical ambiance, with its exquisite décor and attention to detail, sets the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable meal.

Now, let's talk about the food. The culinary mastery on display here is truly impressive. The menu is a testament to creativity and innovation while remaining rooted in classic flavors. Each dish is a work of art, beautifully plated and bursting with exquisite tastes that dance on your palate.

One of my standout favorites has to be the seafood offerings. The freshness and quality of the seafood are impeccable, and whether it's a delicate seared scallop starter or a sumptuous lobster tail main course, I've been consistently impressed with the precision and skill of the chefs.

The wine selection is also noteworthy, with a carefully curated list that complements the menu perfectly. The staff's knowledge and recommendations have always been spot-on, enhancing the overall dining experience.

What truly sets the 1912 Restaurant apart, aside from the exceptional cuisine, is the impeccable service. The staff here goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. They strike the perfect balance between attentiveness and respect for your dining experience.

In today's fast-paced world, the 1912 Restaurant offers a rare opportunity to slow down and savor the moment. It's an ideal choice for special occasions, romantic evenings, or when you simply want to treat yourself to the finer things in life.

My visits to the 1912 Restaurant have always been more than just meals; they've been memorable experiences. The attention to detail, the dedication to culinary excellence, and the commitment to exceptional service make this restaurant a true gem in Eastbourne's dining scene. I can't recommend it enough, and I eagerly anticipate my next visit to once again indulge in the culinary magic of the...

Really enjoyed our first visit to 1912. The staff were smart, professional and friendly ensuring a smooth service throughout the evening. The food was some of the best I've had in Eastbourne (and I've lived here for a few years). Great selection of dishes on the menu so plenty to choose from. We chose to share the chicken, duck and sour cherry terrine to start. Many restaurants would make the cherry part too sweet, but it was just right. For mains, we both had the seabass with lobster bisque risotto. All cooked perfectly, the fish with a crispy skin. It was a Sunday night and we didn't arrive until 8.15 so there were only a few other tables. But it was actually nice to go somewhere a little more relaxed as some of the other restaurants in Eastbourne can get too busy and you can hardly hear each other speak. We'll be back again for sure, hopefully before the 20%...

I’ll start with the good. Nice, clean modern feel to the place with a great menu. The food is outstanding, the team in the kitchen certainly know what they’re doing. One of the best hake dishes I’ve had which was their catch of the day.

The service was hit and miss, one guy who knew what he was doing but others not so much, we had to open our own bottle of wine as the server couldn’t open it. We had to keep asking for things. It lacked atmosphere you could have been in a doctor’s waiting room, perhaps dim the lights slightly and some background music this would make such a difference.

Despite the negatives as these are easy fixes, I would recommend as the food is so good, just be prepared that the service doesn’t match the quality...

Went for dinner on Saturday with my work team and had an amazing time, we all thought our food was outstanding! I had the Squid Ink Linguini, which was amazing to have on a sunny evening by the coast! I brought my 10 month old along with me and she was accommodated so well, I was given the option to have the Kids Fish Goujons grilled instead of battered which I didn't even know was avaliable so for the waiter Ollie(I believe) to ask if I'd like her meal to be prepared like that was amazing, and she clearly thought the meal was amazing as she finished her plate! We finished our evening with a drink in the lounge. Was so nice to be able to have a non alcoholic cocktail with my team made by the lovely Helen in the bar, a absolutely lovely night!
