Brew and Bread — Restaurant in Eastbourne

It's a shame that our experience is not as positive as the other comments in regards to the food.

We tried this place as an alternative to our usual visit to Deja vu in Eastbourne.

In a nutshell, this place is expensive with breakfasts consisting of low quality ingredients. £6.50 for beans on 1 slice of toast is not good value, especially when the beans were barely warm and the cheapest margarine with an unfortunate after taste was used on the toast. The cooked breakfast was cooked, but not sure how long it was left standing before it was served at our table. The plate of food was warm, not served hot and the sausage was the most disappointing of this breakfast as it was akin to the taste and contents of a saveloy type sausage. The hashbrowns were very unappealing and had to not eat one of them as a result. The venue, the service and our hot drinks were very pleasant, but based upon our experience with the cooked breakfasts mentioned above, we didn't think we got value for our money and we won't be eating there ever again and will go back to our usual venue for...

Terrible visited Sunday airbourne weekend very slow service when it eventually arrived with Dirty cutlery the food was cold including the eggs apart from the cheap and nasty sausages that had been cooked or reheated in a deep fat frier hash brown could have been wrung out like a sponge full of grease disgusting cheap and nasty ingredients badly cooked to the point i couldn't eat it and very over priced £11.95 for a breakfast tea wasn't good either £31 something for 1 breakfast 1 eggs Royal and a kids scrambled egg on toast 1 tea and 1 coffee reported my disgust but nobody cared I might have well been speaking to the wall...

4 of us stopped for brunch and managed to get an outside table. However, they seemed overwhelmed by the busy trade generated by the air show. Our order didn't come and when we asked where it was, the owner (?) checked the order taken by the young man and he had written it down incorrectly due to language problems. The food eventually arrived, ranging from full English to eggs on toast. My baked beans and tinned tomato were almost cold and the sausage was poor quality.
