Read moreI have visited this restaurant a few years ago. It was nice so decided to book a table again. BIG MISTAKE. We ordered starters, cold and hot dishes. Hot dish wasn't even warm. Main courses were cold too. My daughter ordered ribs which were ok but the rest of her meal was cold. The same with mine, I had lamb chops which again were ok but the rest of the meal was COLD. My husband's Main course Guvec lacked taste and was nothing like the Turkish classic found in many other visited restaurants. He also ordered a beer and received an extra strong effes which is no big deal but just lacked attention to detail. I fully understand they were extremely busy and were probably plating up meals in preparation for cooked meats. It wasn't cheap and I expected better, I guess my expectations are greater than what was offer, but just hot food surely isn't too much to ask for. I know they popular but there is so many better restaurants locally, I definitely won't be coming back. Without going on , I found it quite worrying that during covid-19 the manager/owner felt it was ok to shake hands and hug regular customers, though adequate neither toilet had soap this was an issue for me. The people that worked their were...
Read moreVery good experience on a busy Saturday night. This place can seat about 40 and it was full. Nevertheless, service was quick and the food came at a decent speed. The food is the star here. We had 3 different dishes and all we well cooked, excellently spiced and very tasty. Portions were large as well, with plenty of food on the plate. Some free bread with olives to start as well as a mini Turkish pizza each just added to the evening. We had a dessert as well. Typical Turkish sweets, full of syrup and very well made. The baklava was one of the best we've ever had. Prices for what we had were reasonable as well, coming in at just below £28 per head. We didn't have any alcohol, so if you do, you can expect a significant increase. The owners were friendly and did not bother us too much, leaving us to enjoy our food. You really must book at this place. I saw 3 different couples turned away as they did not have a booking. Good food, reasonably priced in a nice environment with good service. Very highly...
