We visited Kostas Greek Souvlaki restaurant on my birthday as we visited Eastbourne for the day! Very speedy service but felt rushed as I was giving my order to the server. We decided to go for the chicken kostas with fries, pitta bread with salad. This was very tasty indeed! Even though the service and food was excellent! I only have one criticism. Originally we wanted the £6 meal and was then asked if we wanted the main meal or something else she suggested. We decided to go for the main meal (thinking it was going to cost £6) and was charged £10 each for a take away box meal with sour and chive dip. Also, we had to ask for folks. I wonder if she would have gave us folks if we didn't ask? Haha! :D I would also like to add that my mother was not particularly a fan of the dip as she found it spicy! However, I didn't seem to mind it. :) We were going to dine in but saw that they charge £11 each for the meal we wanted so we ate near the seafront instead which was way more better and the view was amazing! :D If we ever visited Eastbourne again, we would definitely return to this restaurant! :)

Ordered takeaway. Amazingly quick service, possibly as ordered early doors. I think I have happily discovered a new world of Greek dining. Forget what we've become used to over here with pile it in pitta and add chilli sauce, this was Greek food for the Insta generation. Immaculately packaged, carefully presented worthy of anyone wanting to post stylish pics of their meal. I opted for Pork Gyros, the wife had a varied selection of vegetarian starters. The Gyros was frankly a taste sensation. Never had it before, so for me, the old school kebab is dead, long live the pork Gyros! Lean pork cooked to perfection. Just the right amount of pitta, beautifully cut, presented and seasoned, and just right on the salad. The Mrs had stuffed vine leaves, baked haloumi (if you don't get this with your order, you're missing out) and the feta with tomato, loved the lot. Kostas has redefined the Greek takeaway, give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

You cannot get a more authentic place than this one. I am middle Eastern and I've had many kebabs in the UK and nothing compares to the middle East with the exception of Kostas. This Greek restaurant has the best kebab I've ever had in my life I kid you not. We were incredibly impressed by the quality and high flavour, the food was no where near as oily as your regular British kebab shops it was perfection. The chips were incredibly seasoned! I wish I knew what the put on them, the pitta was proper stuff thick as it should be and also bbqd with olive oil and herbs! Absolute perfection. Will be coming to Eastbourne just for you Kostas!! Forgot mention the food comes in a neat box with salad!

Good gyros and tasty and I would give a 5 star but customer service was terrible once Kostas made my gyros went to the till the “lady” says to to me with an attitude don’t you have cash? I said don’t, And got upset because she didn’t want to use or to lazy to use the card machine. I kindly told her we live in England almost everything we pay by card She goes what’s that supposed to mean as I should have cash on me to make her laziness more easier. Then I said I used to live in Greece as well for long time so I definitely know the Greek mentality but Greece and England are not same countries here you to be professional and polite when you are dealing with customers. Am a customer you should be professional while taking to one. She totally disagreed Well with that attitude she needs to feed her brain with more courtesy and to be more professional here is...
