The Tennis Cafe at Gildridge Park in Eastbourne is a delightful spot that combines a passion for tennis with a warm and welcoming dining experience. Established in 2009, the cafe offers a cozy atmosphere where visitors can enjoy delicious food and excellent coffee while overlooking the park's tennis courts. One of the standout features of the cafe is its community-centric approach. It provides a range of tennis and fitness programs that cater to all ages and skill levels, without the need for memberships or monthly fees. This inclusivity is mirrored in the cafe's menu, which boasts a variety of options to suit different dietary needs, including gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan choices ❞.The menu is known for its quality and variety, with items like the brie and cranberry toasties being particularly popular. Regulars and newcomers alike praise the friendly and professional staff, who contribute to the cafe's inviting and relaxed environment. It's not just a place for tennis enthusiasts; families, friends, and even pets are welcome, making it a versatile spot for different occasions [❞].Overall, The Tennis Cafe offers a unique blend of sport and leisure, making it a cherished part of the Eastbourne community. Fresh food, lovely coffee and friendly staff.

Rang ahead in advance to book a table for 5 people and a twin pram, got a nice spot inside, was a little chilly as all the doors were open but as expected.

We were blown away by how the cream tea came out, for £4.50 i think it was? we just expected a scone on a plate with cream and jam, it came out like on a platter covered in fresh fruit, butter cream and jam, the scones were lovely and warm and looked home made ( possibly left them warming for too long as was a little crispy

Edit: have since been back a couple of times and the food hasn't been too good. Scones were definitely not fresh and had been warmed up to the point of tasting like a biscuit and was served up with frozen clotted cream, Need to have some consistency here. Will definitely be back for sure, hopefully will be good again.

Been back again since to see if quality had got better, scones rock hard and dry, warned up to make you think theyre fresh. My partner had the cheese scone with ham and she couldn't eat the ham as it was like rubbery plastic?

Milkshakes were awesome though 👌 Such a shame it couldn't be better. You need to have fresh items, especially for what you are charging! If its not cooked that day,...

I recently visited the Tennis Cafe in Eastbourne and I must say, it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

The cafe itself is beautifully decorated so that it perfectly complements the surrounding tennis courts. The seating area is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of natural light streaming in through the large windows.

But what really sets the Tennis Cafe apart is the food. The menu is full of delicious and healthy options, and lovely cakes! I think by far best cakes in Eastbourne. I tried the breakfast and it was simply divine.

The staff at the Tennis Cafe are also top-notch. They were incredibly attentive and friendly, always making sure that I had everything I needed and that my experience was enjoyable.

Overall, I would highly recommend the Tennis Cafe to anyone looking for a great meal in a beautiful setting. Whether you're a tennis fan or not, this cafe is definitely worth a visit!

*5/5 Stars - Afternoon Tea at the Tennis Cafe!* We had the most wonderful time at The Tennis Cafe today! Our afternoon tea experience was truly unforgettable. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. What truly made our experience special was the way the staff made my little girl feel like a princess. They were so warm and welcoming, and she left with a huge smile on her face. The food was absolutely delicious! The selection of teas, sandwiches, scones, and pastries was impressive, and everything was freshly prepared and presented beautifully. We can't wait to come back and experience The Tennis Cafe again. If you're looking for a lovely spot to enjoy amazing cake with family or friends, look no further!

Embarking on a culinary adventure, I recently tried the recommended beetroot with horseradish soup at a local cafe. The soup was visually appealing, with the earthy taste of beetroot perfectly complemented by the zing of horseradish. I was very pleased with my choice and would definitely order it again, perhaps with a bit more horseradish to suit my taste! The service at this cafe is consistently delivered with a smile, making it a joy to support this local business. Highly recommend giving this unique soup a try!

Busy and rushed off their feet the day we went, due to other cafe having no water due to a leak in field. We didn't spot the chalk board menu written up behind our table, as my mum was in a wheelchair I went in and took photos of the amazing display of cakes to help her choose. Maybe a few photo menus would help others in a similar situation. I don't like to part with my money, but the portions were so amazing that we could happily share a cake in future and at about £4 a go we probably would.
