Little H — Restaurant in Elmbridge

Little H is next to Molesey Lock - a short diversion from Hampton Court bridge, which I cross on one of my favourite cycle rides. The outdoor seating is set in an attractive garden space and makes for a peaceful break for those passing by. The service is good but at busy times, there can be a queue. The staff are friendly and the cakes are delicious. Half of my almond croissant was very good indeed. It may have been a crow, but I think it was a raven that stole the other half when I had my back turned whilst talking to another cyclist. "Dine In" Tea is served in a small pot, and the Early Grey is very good. The coffee is good but not great, so for me the drinks score only 4.5. The ice creams are very good. The prices are quite reasonable, and on balance, I am rounding up my overall score to 5 stars. And I mark quite hard, so this is high praise from me. It was closed for a short while a few months ago. Wonderful location, but the service is so slow We called in today for 3 toasted sandwiches and 2 pieces of toast, it took over 45 minutes to have the food served There were around 3 other tables occupied, so it really want busy I asked about the progress of the food after we had been waiting for 45 mins and was told it’s “nearly ready” they then said it would be a further 7 Minutes! At the end I asked for a complementary ice cream as the delay was excessive, the guy behind the counter got aggressive saying we’re a small business and had lots of sandwiches to make- at this point we’re were the last ones left After much muttering to himself he gave us one ice cream The task in hand shouldn’t have taken as long as it did and added to this The toasted sandwiches weren’t even cooked in the middle Rather...

Found this little Riverside coffee hut whilst on a long River Thames walk. The high backed wooden chairs complete with a blanket folded over the backs looked really inviting and i was in need of a quick energy boost. Ordered a flat white coffee which was really good and a slice of spiced pumpkin cake which was gorgeous. It was very quiet on the day I visited but imagine it would get very busy during the summer months. Very good location just a few metres south side of Hampton Court Bridge at East Molesey.
