Sherpa Kitchen | Esher — Restaurant in Elmbridge

We had a terrible meal. Not a single dish from starters through mains made me think there was a competent person in the kitchen. Against all positive signs such as online reviews and the look and feel of the place, it was a real disappointment. Chicken and salmon from the clay oven was so overcooked and dry, it genuinely had the appearance and rubbery texture of something overcooked in the microwave. I gave the waiter feedback on how dry the meats were and showed him the texture in my plate but he just shrugged it off and said this is how they cook their meat. I feel cheated and I hope this is something that they will pay attention to as the restaurant and menu has real potential and we would love to have been able to add it to our list of...

The staff are friendly and prompt, table layout is classy.

Food is so average. Very small portions and very little taste. Sauces watery and bland. Sizzling chicken with four pieces of chicken, left the kitchen hot and spice less. A premium prawn dish with four prawns and a tinned chicken soup of a sauce.

This is our Favourite Restaurant and it never let's us down. The food is amazing and it is not only exotic tasting, but produces an almost euphoric experience from the flavour and fragrance. Add to this that every time we eat here, we feel great afterwards. You feel like you ate something that's good for the body and soul (unlike Chinese or Indian food may leave you feeling). The staff are friendly and the price so reasonable. Can't say enough good things so try it.
