Siam Food Gallery — Restaurant in Elmbridge

Siam Food Gallery was an expensive disappointment. My family and I wanted to treat ourselves and so ordered from the restaurant via Deliveroo after hearing good things about their food.

The Spicy Basil Leaves Chicken was inedible. Thankfully I have only been served dishes that hot (spicy) before a few times in my life, as this was on a 10 on the rector scale. The dish could have been called chilly with a bit of chicken. The chicken itself was minced and had a weird texture that also was unpleasant.

The Chicken with Lemongrass was a generous portion, but it was extremely dry, and to top it all the Steamed Jasmine Rice and the noodles were too starchy and bland.

To their credit, the Garlic Prawns were large and juicy, but the food was not that hot which let down the dish.

It was frustrating to be let down by a restaurant that gets such good reviews. I don not know if we were just unlucky that day or their standards have recently dropped. Either way its unlikely I will be ordering...

What a delightful place. If you like this type of cuisine, you will not be disappointed. Lovely staff and delicious food. We all chose different dishes and no-one was disappointed. Shame we couldn't manage a dessert. The table near us had coffees with a difference - made with Kahlua, Irish whiskey, lots of brown sugar, a mini saucepan, cream and a portable gas burner! Made at the table, each glass took a few minutes to prepare. It certainly showed the dedication they give to everything they do. Love Thai, you'll adore this place. Make sure you book to avoid disappointment. ...

Out family of 8 members went this evening to celebrate my 81st birthday. We had a very bad experience tonight as I am a pescatarian and only eat fish seafood and vegetables. The food for the other members was reasonable but for me items from the menu were not available. Several items of seabass stated in the menu were not available.So I ordered Jumbo prawns curry. When the dish came it had tiny prawns, i had to cancel the dish and order the fish cakes for my main course. No wonder the restaurant was empty for Saturday evening. We were bery disappointed and will never visit this...
