Aladino — Restaurant in England

Not sure why my last review was removed? I was just being perfectly honest about my experience. But no worries, I'll leave another.

Apparently you're not allowed to criticise this place or its rude owner?

I ordered on Deliveroo, wasn't happy with my order and phoned up to let him know. I wasn't rude, didn't raise my voice or anything, just simply said that I wasn't happy with the coffees I ordered. They looked and tasted like they'd been spat out by a cheap office coffee machine, and there was no way to tell the difference because they were all exactly the same, even though one was supposed to be a latte and the other two cappuccinos; all the same size as well when they shouldn't have been.

The owner doesn't take well to criticism of any kind (even more obvious now that he goes out of his way to get bad reviews removed on trumped up charges) – he was very rude to me on the phone and hung up on me when I hadn't finished talking (probably because I dared to speak ill of his coffee and his ego couldn't handle it).

He doesn't know how to treat his customers with respect and try to resolve an issue when the customer isn't happy, very poor business acumen.

The only positive thing I can say is that I haven't ordered from him since and I've found another place that does treat its customers with respect and goes out of their way to help them, even when they're not happy. Take note...

We have visited South End on Sea few weeks ago as a celebration of our company’s success. We came across this coffee shop called Aladino and decided to buy some coffee and snacks before heading to the beach, I have to say the staff on that shop were extremely friendly, the coffee tasted awesome and we really enjoyed the snacks. Our entire team were really happy and we had a marvellous time at Aladino, thank you very much for being so kind, we really appreciate your services and will be back soon.

This place was a lovely little find and the food speaks for itself. The owner was nothing but welcoming, freshly brewed coffee full of flavour! I am a big coffee fan and have tried many places and can say the quality is there. My personal favourite and a must try for food would be the falafel wrap, I usually ask for halloumi alongside it as I feel it works well.
