Shoreside Cafe — Restaurant in England

Visited on a busy bank holiday Monday, long queue (understandable) but disappointed to be told in a very unfriendly manner that the wait for food would be over an hour and most stuff had gone. Could have been handled much better. Drinks were surprisingly over priced too. I won't be back, especially given the owners' responses, If I'm honest.

EDIT - For the avoidance of doubt I was charged £14.70 (albeit halved due to EOTHO) for 7 soft drinks and three packets of crisps. Given we had to drink these on the grass on the end this doesn't seem fair value to me. And we WERE told they had sold out of chicken nuggets, fish and chips before we were told of the long...

We used to go here regularly for a coffee and sometimes a bit of lunch or just some chips, we stopped by today and both of us were really disappointed. We had 2 cheeseburgers and 1 portion of chips ...£15 total, £4.00 for the chips which went in the bin, they were disgusting, like they had been cooked In old fat, over cooked and were just awful in taste. For the money they cost for a small portion, I would have expected far better! Needless to say, my fave little cafe is no longer a favourite and I'm no longer...

We visit here every time we are on the island , always lovely cooked food and a great cup of tea ! Staff are always friendly and very helpful , lovely dog friendly cafe as well . We were there yesterday and I have to say how organised it was in the current situation and we would like to comment on the young lady who was cleaning the tables and chairs after each sitting ( we think her name is Molly ) , she was doing a really good job keeping it all sanitised, it didn't go unnoticed...
