I attended a birthday party at this venue last night and what a shambles it was. When we arrived to the party the staff were rude, and this was the theme for the night! I was queueing at the bar with around 5 people behind it with only 1 doing anything. I asked a lady that wasn’t doing anything if I could get a drink and she said I would have to wait as there was only 1 card machine, this was fine but there was 50+ people at this party with everyone buying drinks so the queues became very big very quick - they did not even pour my drink and then take my payment when the machine was ready to speed things up, which made the queues even longer. It was not a surprise that there would be this many people at the party either. When I finally got round to being served I was blankly stared at by a girl behind the bar, I was confused as to whether she was going to serve me or not as I didn’t know who was taking the orders with the card machine. She did not speak until she told me they didn’t sell what I asked for, even though I had just seen somebody with the same drink! I ordered a different drink which was a sprit, but this was weak and I wasn’t even sure if it had any alcohol in, I also had to ask for ice in my drink which the bar staff looked at me blankly, so I just left it without ice. When I went to the bar later in the night they didn’t know how to make baby Guinness shots, or a white wine spritz. There was no apology for this either, even though they offered these as drinks. There was no smiles or customer service from any of the staff last night, it was very disappointing to say it had cost a large amount of money to hire. The man that was floating around the party most of the night in a chef outfit and glasses was also rude! I smiled at him as he walked through and he gave me a dirty look - not very welcoming. Then when I was stood at the bar he was extremely rude to another customer who was asking about a drink that they had just ordered. All in all, the staff were very unwelcoming. The toilets were also disgusting, looked like they hadn’t been cleaned for about 2 years with thick dust on the surfaces and smelt badly. The staff also called last ordered at 11pm when originally they said 11:30pm for last orders. Overall the venue itself was very lovely and a great place to have a party but it was let down by its rude and unwelcoming...

I’m really disappointed that I’m having to write a bad review for somewhere that has an interesting menu and that looked as if it offered something a little different to the usual fare offered by everyone else. I had the cheese, apple, walnut and mayo sandwiches, which sounded delicious. But the mayo was super vinegary – honestly, it tasted as if the mayo had been watered down with really strong vinegar - so that I couldn’t actually taste anything else and had to leave almost all of it. The young waitresses were fabulous – really polite and friendly and they couldn’t have been more helpful. However, there was an older woman who took our order and she couldn’t have been ruder if she’d tried. Difficult to describe here just how rude she was, but it seemed as if every time I opened my mouth she snapped at me. A couple of examples – Me: ‘I didn’t realise that you had to place your own order, I thought it was waitress service – there’s nothing written on the menu about it’ Her: ‘Well everybody else knows what to do’. Me: ‘It’s very important that I get a decaf coffee as caffeine makes me very ill’ Her: ‘If you order decaff, you get decaff.’ Now imagine that in a really snappy aggressive tone of voice – as if someone is actively looking for a real big argument. I’m still flabbergasted when I think of it! So just one star for mum’s teacake and my very nice decaff mocha. But I don’t want to be snapped at and I don’t want vinegar sandwiches so we won’t be back. If you’re looking for a great lunch option in Brigg, there’s a great tea shop the other end of the...

BREAKFAST. I Booked a table 1 week previously over social media as this is a place I've fancied visiting for a while. When we arrived there had been no table reserved for us although other tables had been. I ordered 2 different meals and 2 different scones )cherry and almond and fruit)and coffee. The scones came with our coffees both were cherry and almond (my wife has a nut allergy. We then got 3 knives and 1 fork. It was quite busy so we expected a bit of a wait. When the breakfast arrived my wife had no bacon on her small breakfast, so I spoke to the waiter who made no apology and wondered off (the bacon never did turn up). I had the wild mushrooms on toast with poached eggs on and both eggs were hard, which I would have thought were meant to be soft as part of the experience. Sorry but on the whole it's a nice place with a cheerful atmosphere but service on all parts kitchen and serving staff are letting...

We had lunch at the Atrium in The Angel at Brigg today. The cafe is in a lovely glass roofed courtyard, and there is outside seating when the weather is better! We chose turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich, and croque monsieur, both served with coleslaw and chips. Portions were generous and all our meals were delicious. We were disappointed to learn that the charcuterie board was not available - hopefully this will be rectified next time we visit.

Relaxed and friendly restaurant. The staff were cheerful and helpful, a credit to themselves! The tapas was fantastic!!! Variety of dishes, all absolutely beautiful!! Thanks to everyone at La Finca for a lovely evening

The Atrium is small covered cafe/restaurant in the center of Brigg. We've now been here twice, and it didn't disappoint either time. Their coffee and cake were just the ticket to spend a morning.
