Don't know why we've missed this place before but we're glad we went this time. With plenty of seating inside and out, it's near the main road going through the town so outside can get busy but it compensates with the view of the bridge. We only had a tea and cake but looking through the menu we'll have to come back and try the food out, we gotta say the cake we had was soooo nice. We can't complain at all about our visit, very pleasant owners ( I presume) and l the place was nice and clean .. can't wait to come back and give it another go 😁👍

I wanted the hummus and red pepper sandwich, but they were out of hummus... so I just had the Very Berry Smoothie containing blackberries, strawberries and raspberries. I quite liked that. Tangy and thick and didn’t taste watered down. FIL enjoyed his bold cappuccino. “Hot and strong,” according to him. The cafe is a little pricey. Also, if you want your sandwich bread toasted, there’s a 30p charge. A bit unnecessary, in my opinion.

Busy little tea shop in the centre of Bradford. The food was all pretty tasty with some of it quite reasonable and some of it a little expensive (see picture of menu and make up your own mind). They kind enough to make a small adjustment to my order after they’d brought it to the table, but there were several menu items that were unavailable when we tried to order them. A small inconvenience, but bear it in mind when you visit.

Decides to grab a late breakfast at B.O.A. A lovely welcome when entering a very clean cafe. The menus are fairly standard with one for food and one for drinks. We ordered two wholemeal toasts with beans and scrambled eggs plus a full English breakfast. Although the menu said ‘wholemeal’ the choice came as either white or granary toast. When we checked, as the menu stated wholemeal, we were told in no uncertain terms that it was either white or granary as they don’t do wholemeal??? We went with one slice. The portion of beans and scrambled eggs were of a good size and hot/well cooked.

The full English was nice but the bacon was overcooked (dry) and the fried egg had an overdone solid yoke - shame as it would have been otherwise a nice breakfast. Oh and when asked could I have a poached egg - no we only do scrambled or fried- why not?

We also had an iced coffee which came made with ice-cream! I’ve obviously lived a sheltered life as I’ve never had an iced coffee which came made this way - a milk shake yes! When we queried this it was pointed out that it stated on the wall board (in very small print)and we should have looked. But this wasn’t stated on the menu which we were given when we entered to choose from. This was followed by a ridiculous ‘you want an iced americano’ and ‘you should’ve asked what was included in the iced coffee’…??? Why would we do that? An iced coffee is exactly that! Eventually after a frustrating back and forth we got a refund. All in all a disappointing experience. The prices were on the high side and the food was ok but not great. Although pleasant staff, some need to understand how to deal with reasonable questions or requests without coming over as rude or argumentative. Learn how to poach an egg - every cafe can cook that! Please look up what an iced coffee is. Have your menus redesigned to accurately reflect what we’re ordering and this would prevent any misunderstandings and also prevent issues with allergies and ingredients that people may want to avoid for whatever reason. Also treat every customer as if you want them to come back - they could be professional reviewers …...

I was there yesterday with my mum, sister and 2 year old daughter. We had four lunches. The food was not good. My toddler had chicken nuggets and chips. The chips tasted like they’d been fried in old oil, also nothing healthy to go with it e.g. peas. There were also issues with the salad that my mum had ordered. At the end of our meal, we asked if we could have some tap water for my 2 year old’s drink bottle. The lady said they were not allowed and told us to get it from the sink in the toilet. I didn’t as thought it was a bit gross to put a baby’s drink bottle where people wash their hands after they’ve been to the toilet. Why could you not have given us a glass of water so we could pour it ourselves into the bottle? If it is Covid related you touched the rest of our food and drinks, so it is illogical. If it’s because the cafe is unlicensed, I think it’s pretty tight considering we had paid for four lunches and drinks. This is the first establishment I have ever been refused tap water. They also insisted that ALL of us had to write our contact details in the book on arrival. It was unwelcoming, food wasn’t good and the staff were unhelpful. None of us liked the attitude of this place and we won’t be...

I went there with my family to enjoy some coffee and tea. Coffee wasn't the best, they need to have a proper espresso machine and a trained the staff to execute the task to high standards. I am saying this because the flat white is priced as it is at Nero cafe and Nero trains their staff extensively on coffee.. Tea was as expected. Had some really nice cakes there. I saw the menu and would say that has good range of snacks (club sandwich, jacket potato) but I would say that it was a little bit pricey. Not overly expensive but I wouldnt pay ÂŁ8-ÂŁ9 for a jacket potatoe. Potatoe is what got people out of misery after WW2 after all. Same on cakes slices. They need to make a living, central in the town, but I think more people would stop by to eat at a local place if food was priced a bit more fairly.

Lastly, a door that can close itself would be nice because there is many incosiderate people and customers that leave the premises and leave the door open, making the place cold really quickly.

Good and...
