Went for a snack at 2.15pm on Saturday. Placed our order of 1 cream tea, 3 teas with 3 cheese scones, 1 ice cream & glass of tap water. We sat down thinking we would get our order in 5 - 10 mins but no after 25 mins I had to ask about our order thinking after hearing another customer complaining how long it was taking for her order & decided to get a refund. I was told there was still 2 small orders in front of ours. I told them we had a diabetic who needed her order. After about 5 mins we saw a staff member pass with packs of frozen scones which turned out to be for our order. Before we eventually got our order after 45 mins 2 more sets of customers walked out because of the waiting time for their orders. The icecream was in a prepacked carton which could have been given to the child a lot earlier, and scones were chewy after being defrosted in microwave. All in all the food was poor and the service even worse. The young waitresses made the excuse of being very busy because they were the only coffee shop open on Saturday but there was about 4 tables with people on them 2 of which left without their order and there were other coffee shops open as we passed them after leaving Secret Garden.
The coffee shop was to close at 4pm but they turned the sign to closed at 3.15pm they just couldn't cope they were too uoung to be left in charge on Saturday. Maybe if the owners had of been there things would have been much better
This was our 1st visit to Secret Garden and it most certainly will...

Despite having to order inside at the counter, the service is still impeccable, and they very happily provide colouring books for kids while ensuring the parents are looked after as well. The garden environment is quite pleasing, and provided an intimate, relaxing aesthete to enjoy our cream teas, which were fantastic, and sample their cakes, which were moist and delicious. While the entire town of Bradford-on-Avon is quaint, enjoyable, and a bit of a secret itself, given the nature and quality of this cafe I cannot see it remaining a secret regardless of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWorst lunch ever feel sick thinking about it. Ordered soup which tastes awful with a cheap bread roll you get in a pack of 4 for like 45p at sainsburys. But as I was with my baby and heavily pregnant I just thought ah well ill order something else. Went for cheese on toast. It wasn't even melted! The salad was limp and brown and the bread was soggy and cheap hovis seeded bread. For a cafe that looks so beautiful and has homemade cakes you'd expect better bread and a simple cheese on toast to be able to be made . Never experienced anything like that before also never left a review anywhere before but I'm just shocked. I politely ate what I could of the cheese on toast and just chalked it up as a no go...
