Myself and 4 friends from schooldays had a meal here to put the brakes on a heavy drinking session. It worked in more ways than one. The two very pleasant gentlemen running the restaurant informed us when we enquired about a table that they were very short staffed and there was going to be a moderate wait. We had 5 cobras to start and waited for our menus. They came and we quickly ordered our food and more beers. There was a fair wait and the beers never arrived until after the food. That said the food was absolutely superb and we all enjoyed our excellent meals thoroughly.. Unfortunately was not made to feel welcome when we arrived. Although we had booked a table we had to wait a while to be seated. It also took around an hour for them to take our order. The woman who served us told us the kitchen was very busy, making it out to be an inconvenience that we were ordering food… at a restaurant. We then decided to order less than we initially intended, so that we wouldn’t be waiting too long, just to be met with head shaking and muttering by the lady - I believe she wasn’t happy with us ordering less than most but I’m not sure. Booked in October after our shop in aldi which is next door, we saw a banner hanging outside the premises for christmas day and boxing day, we booked for the boxing day offer which was advertised for £16.95 per person. When we went on boxing day at the time we booked we were given a menu, we were a bit confused so asked for the boxing day offer, we were offered the buffet, when the bill arrived it equated to just under £25 per person, we questioned it, they denied all knowledge of the boxing day offer saying the £16.95 started next week, we always get our take aways from here but wont be gracing them with our...
