Super rude staff. Drove nearly two hours to Peterborough, planned to go for a wee and then get a coffee before going shopping. As a pregnant woman I don't get much choice of when I need to go to the toilet, so we used the facilities here before we bought anything. When walking into the coffee shop the lady behind the counter looked at us like dirt at the bottom of her shoe even before speaking to us. I then asked a younger girl if they have a toilet and she kindly pointed me to where it was. After using the toilet the same girl then rudely told me we wasn't allowed to use it as we weren't customers. Little did she know we were actually going to sit down for a drink afterwards. I asked the girl if she suggested that I just wee on the floor and her exact word 'yes'. Absolutely avoid...

We were directed to this cafe by a member of staff at Peterborough Cathedral who had said that they served good coffee. The cafe is a traditional sort of Italian place, tastefully decorated, comfortable, relaxed with really young but professional, friendly and helpful staff who were coping well with the busy lunchtime trade. Coffee lived up to the review and was really good, the accompanying cakes were fresh and really tasty, the whole experience gave us a nice refreshing lift to the day. Went by yesterday afternoon. Worst customer service. Wanted to use the toilet urgently. When asked about the toilet I got a response saying "it's there on that end", then I responded saying that there was only a disabled toilet and asked if it was okay for me to go in there? I got denied and told off by the same guy that "it was for customers only". I explained that I was going to order a coffee but got back rude and careless comments from a guy who works there with no apologies.
