Chopstix - Peterborough High Street — Restaurant in England

I had a very negative experience in the Peterborough high street store on 04.12.24 at approx 4:25-4:28pm.

Initially a nice lady had started to place rice into the two large boxes I ordered. An older lady took over and was very rude. I explained what I wanted in both boxes a couple of times. When I could tell it didn’t look right I asked her to confirm what’s in the box she said ‘oh my god’ very rudely.

I could still tell the order wasn’t what I had asked for. I asked her what was in the box and the order was wrong but her attitude made me very upset and uncomfortable I wanted to get out of there fast so said ‘oh okay’ . I asked for katsu curry and when they eventually put it in the other box there was no curry sauce which is pointless with a katsu curry. I asked ‘is there any sauce on the katsu?’ She said ‘yes there is do you want some on top too’ but then when I got home I saw there was no sauce whatsoever underneath and a small slither on top which is not nice.

I’m really disappointed in this experience and am shocked with how badly the older lady treated me in this instance. I actually cried on my way home due to this experience.

Emailed the customer service team on the day and I’ve had no reply to this day.

Just ordered via Deliveroo. Said 20-35min. I’ve been waiting for an hour and it keeps updating to say my delivery will be later and later. Like I’m having to wait 1,5h for chopstix, it’s ridiculous. Deliveroo saying that the driver is ag the restaurant, I just rang Chopstix and he’s not there but they wouldn’t cancel and refund my order. It’s not made specially for me, the food is ready at all times but the girl just kept saying that there is northing they can do and to contact Deliveroo. If the driver is not there and it just keeps updating the delivery time, there is something you can do, just cancel the order. You say it’s not your fault but it isn’t mine either, when I order something that says will be here in 20-35min I don’t mind waiting 10-15min extra, but when it starts going to 1,5h it’s not ok. Instead of just repeating that there is northing that you can do, at least be polite and assure the customer that you’ll try and sort it out and the driver will be there soon, anything than just repeating that you basically...

London boy found himself in Peterborough for the day and needed a lunch with a bit of taste. Opted for chopstix medium meal which consisted of noodles and toppings of red thai chicken /beef teriyaki side order of spring rolls. Medium was just right for lunch and I needed no extra condiments. Red thai curry not the best but beef teriyaki was ok. My partner had the noodles with pumpkin katsu curry and salt and pepper potatoes. She was delightfully pleased with her meal. Being based in london I am so spoilt for choice regards food outlets finding myself in a post covid peterborough with just a McDonald's, greggs and burgerking, I felt like I was on the North Pole but with the keen nose of my trusted companion, chopstix saved the day.
